Lead and provide 24hr safety and supervision of groups of at-risk teens for 8 day shifts in the Forest of North Carolina.
Facilitated practice of treatment through primitive skills and worked through treatment goals provided by a therapist each week with each student.
The program is designed to address issues related to poor behavior and/or substance abuse. I have worked with male and female students experiencing low self-esteem, learning differences, depression, suicidal ideation, ADD/ADHD, bipolar disorder, entitlement issues, anxiety, family conflict, mood stability issues, poor relationships, defiant behavior, substance abuse, and family conflict. I have also worked with students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, such as Asperger’s Syndrome and pervasive developmental disorders.
