•Designed and architected a solution to sync customer digital wallet data using Kafka across multiple channels including SamsClub.com and the Sam's Club 'Scan and Go' mobile app.
•Redesigned and architected how members are able to view their ‘instant savings’ at the time of item scan using the Sam's Club 'Scan and Go' mobile app.
•Led engineering team on initiative to allow members to purchase optical frames and lens online using a pre-filled prescription, which was a first for Sam’s Club.
•Designed and developed a platform to activate digital membership for new members on SamsClub.com acquired via social channels such as Groupon, Living Social and Zulily - 300K new members joined via the platform in the first year.
•Designed and architected a solution for members to view any promotions applicable for an item during item scan, both at an item level as well as the order level, prior to checkout.
•Redesigned the flow for renewal of Sams members to successfully write the renewal information to downstream systems to mitigate a major loophole in the system that restricted pulling membership orders from purchase history hence causing issues to issue a refund when members wanted to cancel their club membership.
