The project involved development of the Veraz SIP Session Border Controller (SBC), aimed at delivering comprehensive interactive communication – voice, data, video, multimedia sessions – across IP network borders. The Veraz SBC is modeled in a way that it can act as an SIP ALG for message security, an IMS compliant P-CSCF/I-BCF in the control plane, an A-BGF in the media plane
or any combination of these. The unique architecture of the SEG allows it to be deployed as an Access-SBC and an Interconnect-SBC between peering networks.
