### Software Engineer II @ Coherent Inc.

•	Design and development of software systems in Visual C++ involving the interaction with multiple controllers, user interface design, communication protocols via serial and Ethernet, creating parsers.
•	Development of automatic laser logging for faults, warning, and diagnosis.
•	Handling projects involving assembly level controller language programming for motion code; creating test sequences, identifying problems, developing strategies to optimize motion sequences required for laser cutting machines.
•	Obtaining, validating, and licensing third party software add-ons, testing, modifying and approving third party functionality.
•	Creating software installers using Nullsoft Scriptable Install System, and InstallShield; 
•	Testing, implementing and validating software interaction and functionality for the new vision systems to interface with existing motion controllers. 
•	 Handled the integration, installation steps and the machine ‘post’ of third party CAD/CAM software to interface with the laser-cutting machine.
•	Managing the imaging and software revisions of the computer systems shipped with all the laser cutting machines.

Responsibility: To develop the knowledge base web application for handling different types of data for users with various access rights along with interfaces which allow for the easy updating and handling of data.
Achievements: Created a knowledge base application in the form of an FAQ system, which is launched internally in the company and is currently being used to manage data. Worked on this project single handedly and created the design, implementation and testing of the entire system.

Responsibility:  The design & development of desktop widgets for the 'Big-Adda' website.
Achievements: Developed a desktop 'Notification' Widget and a 'Photo-upload' widget for notification of events and uploading of photos which would be done without logging onto the website.
Technologies used: Visual C++, Nullsoft Scriptable Install System (NSIS)

### Software Intern @ SAMEER (R&D of DIT, Govt of India)
Jan 2006 – Jan 2007
Responsibility: Designed the software 'Upper Air Data Analysis Software' for weather prediction and the calculation of weather related parameters.. 
Achievements: Created two thermodynamic diagrams, Tephigram to predict the likelihood of thunderstorm, and the Hodograph to generate the 3-dimensional view of wind to indicate the wind speed and wind direction at various pressure levels in the atmosphere. Computed several weather related parameters as part of the software requirement. 
Technologies used: Visual C++ and OpenGL

This project was very successful and was presented for the national level project competition 'Minds Eye' held at St. Francis Institute of Technology.
