Stepping into a leadership role at ScoreTrader, I've been instrumental in transitioning our application into production, now catering to a growing user base. My role involves driving backend development, managing Google Cloud resources, and designing the architectural blueprint for our server and database systems. Translating complex technical requirements into actionable tasks has been key in facilitating team collaboration and project success.

In my tenure as Lead Software Engineer, I spearheaded the migration of our services to Kubernetes. This strategic move not only reduced vendor lock-in but also resulted in cost savings and improved codebase consistency across our projects. Moreover, I led initiatives to implement robust logging, tracing, and monitoring mechanisms, thereby streamlining debugging processes and significantly enhancing system stability ahead of our product release.

As a Software Engineer, I was part of the core team that laid the groundwork for our project, developing backend code in Go and contributing to the design and implementation of server and database architectures. Over these three years, I honed my skills in a range of tools and languages, playing an active role in various stages of the project lifecycle.

As a freelance Software Consultant, I leveraged my expertise in Go, Elm, and Google Cloud to facilitate long-term e-commerce and entertainment projects. My contributions ranged from analyzing codebase elements for effective micro-service development to decoupling application logic for enhanced software adaptability. A key achievement was designing a real-time algorithm capable of handling tens of thousands of user interactions per second. I also implemented REST and gRPC APIs for various platforms, operating both independently and as part of a team. This experience ultimately led to a full-time role, affirming the value I provided to my clients.

Throughout this period, I honed my software engineering skills by working on diverse projects for various clients.

At the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics, I contributed to a research team performing plasma physics simulations, where my role involved quantifying the behavior of the simulation outside of its usual parameters. This experience further strengthened my ability to analyze and interpret complex data.

I also had the opportunity to prototype iOS applications, including utility tools and conceptual apps, which enhanced my understanding of mobile application development, user interface design, and the nuances of the iOS platform.

In addition, I developed data mining applications to extract valuable insights from SEC filings for stock trading purposes. This role allowed me to apply and enhance my skills in data extraction and analysis.
