• Utilized D3’s rich selection of methods to allow flexibility in engineering a component chart library with built-in interactivity, animation, and variety of component’s customizable props creating an intuitive experience for Preact developers
• Defined a set of common properties set for all charts in the library, effectively saving 30% of product development time
• Engineered and implemented a data structure formatted to work with D3 methods allowing charts to render multi datasets
• Leveraged TypeScript to enforce type contracts for each chart’s properties, avoiding unnecessary time spent debugging dynamic typing errors during development stage and creating a seamless onboarding process for new developers in the project
• Capitalized on Fresh’s islands architecture to create components and incorporated Tailwind-in-js as a performant compiler to server-side render styling and animation, reducing loading time that resulted in an optimized web performant application

• Developed a web user-facing documentation and playground area for demoing charts, creating a better developer experience by allowing engineers to refer properties and test charts appearance and datasets before committing them to code on projects

• Product developed under tech accelerator OS Labs (opensourcelabs.io)
