• Planned, executed, and collaborated with ML teams to accelerate model training, and serving of Facebook Reels recommendations by adopting new infrastructure. Such efforts reduced inference capacity requirement
(GPU/model) by 20%, and model snapshot refresh delay (hours) by 50%.
• Improved freshness, and reliability of FB Reels video inventory by reducing data pipelines delay (hours) by
50%, error rate by 71%, and increasing inventory size by 13%.
• Scoped, implemented, and mentored junior engineers in running A/B experiments to drive Local
Facebook groups Growth campaigns.
• Built various Android, and backend features for Facebook Neighborhoods in collaboration with PMs,
designers, and ML engineers.

• Enabled Alexa customers in 11 different countries to receive skill recommendations tailored to their usage by expanding a Java-based microservice built on Elasticsearch and AWS Lambda. This feature doubled the number of monthly expected traffic and exceeded business KPI.
• Educated and provided relevant technical context to project managers, designers and other Alexa engineering teams throughout the process of gathering business requirements, designing and developing new features and APIs (RPC and REST).
• Participated in the design and development of multiple Alexa product features such as voice rating, one-tap rating and fallback skills suggestions.
• Promoted infrastructure that enables rapid iteration across the entire Alexa Skills Growth team and ensured operational excellence (high availability, low latency and fault tolerance) of the team’s distributed systems by regularly participating in internal knowledge sharing sessions and 24x7 oncall rotations.

While working as an engineer for the Rev’s Marketplace team, I helped maintain and improve our internal tools to consistently meet customer expectation with fast turnaround time and high-quality results. The tools that my team is responsible for are used in virtually all verticals of Rev, this requires working with different frameworks and languages for both front-end and back-end development. A couple of achievements that I have made include:
• Improved accuracy for detecting poor-quality transcripts by 200% by implementing prediction algorithm. This ensures that our customers receive the highest-quality transcripts possible. C#.
• Oversaw the effort to rebuild Rev’s online applications for potential freelancers to take advantage of modern tools like React and TypeScript.
• Integrated PayPal Batch Payouts with Rev’s internal system. This allows managers to handle failed payments without contacting PayPal Support. Payments for freelancers can also be sent automatically. C#, Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL).
• Maintained and performed query tuning for reports of important data such as: freelancers’ performance metrics and payments. Each improvement yields on average a 50% reduction in runtime. Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL).
• Wrote automated unit and integration tests to ensure correctness and durability of code base
• Mentored new engineers and interns.

On the Temi team at Rev, I am currently focused on implementing new features to meet the demands of our rapidly expanding business. This requires working extensively at all levels of the development process alongside project managers, designers and other engineers. Some of the projects that I've worked on include:
• An internal API to support the Temi Mobile App (Android and iOS). ASP.NET MVC (C#).
• Various improvements to the Temi Text Editor (text highlighting, filename editing and deletion to name a few). C#, React and TypeScript.
