At Volansi, I worked in the applications team to create ground control station software that controls aircraft developed and created by Volansi hardware teams. Our team had custom-built Mission planning and mission execution software. Our system controls PX4 based autopilot systems. I have also worked on the companion computer software(Typescript, NodeJS, Express) which sits inside the aircraft and communicates directly with PX4 autopilot. These applications are used by our operations team to fly the aircraft.
Achievement:
1. Received Innovations award for building RAMS GCS software.
2. Created an elevation graph using d3-js along the mission path with 1-meter elevation accuracy.
3. Developed the offline maps capability in the application. Operators can save the offline map tiles before flying the aircraft where there is no/ poor reception(no internet connection).
