Worked as a member of a three-person engineering team to successfully launch a multi component streaming platform, a new ecommerce backend and a website redesign specifically for b8ta’s new business strategy based around an online “Live” shopping experience.
Built a streaming platform based on Verizon Media API (Edgecast) functionality (Elixir, Phoenix Framework, Postgres, JavaScript etc.)
Developed tools for a whole life-cycle of video assets (creating live stream -> tagging products/brands -> scheduling the live stream for channel -> getting a video asset after live stream ends -> clipping/editing metadata -> rescheduling as vod asset)
Individually developed a multi user scheduler system that allows to schedule live streams coming from different physical locations across US or pre-recorded videos for linear live channel(s).
Developed a content management system for video assets (automatically receiving videos after live streams ends or pre-recorded) integrated with b8ta’s ecommerce backend.
Created an automatic scheduling functionality for channels with video assets using Cron jobs.
Developed a looping video playlist that imitates a linear channel behavior to reduce costs of using actual Verizon Media live channels.
Developed an app within the streaming platform that allows a person who hosts the live stream to get access to various data, switch “product” focus, mark moments for future clipping, and integrate with the audience.
