I actively participated in the process of setting questions for weekly labs and the evaluation process for the same. ### Software Development Intern @ Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), TIFR Jan 2019 – Jan 2019 | Mumbai, Maharashtra, India Worked with the team at Gnowledge Lab at HBCSE, a national centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, on a two-month-long project to create a plugin for their online learning platform, STEMGames, based on Jeff Atwood's open-source platform, Discourse. A brief description of the project is as follows: 1. STEMGames contains "topics" which are essentially posts containing some content. The plugin (named Discourse Topic Organizer) provides an interface for admins and staff to link the current topic, from which the plugin is being used, to any other topic on STEMGames. The interface includes a search bar to search for topics to link to. This creates links above and below the current topic content, to the desired topics which when clicked, transfers the page to the corresponding topic. This can potentially turn STEMGames into an efficient LMS. 2. The project was completed successfully and is ready to be deployed to STEMGames or any other Discourse instance. 3. I contributed to both frontend and backend (mostly backend). I was responsible for implementing a "sequencer feature" in the plugin which allowed for going through topics in a next/previous fashion. Being the most experienced software developer in my team of four members, I shouldered responsibility with my teammates and guided them through difficult spots and helped with major bugfixes. I am pleased to still be associated with the team at HBCSE, maintaining and upgrading the project. ### Academic Intern @ National University of Singapore Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Singapore Training program in “Data Analytics using Artificial Neural Networks”. Implemented a Sentiment Analyser using ANN and non-ANN methods to help an organization improve its performance and customer satisfaction levels. Ternary classification problem. Dataset was a set of Yelp! reviews in three classes: positive, negative and neutral. My team was ranked 13th in the leaderboard with an accuracy of 87.7%. We used a variety of Deep learning techniques such as CNNs and RNNs as well as simpler techniques such as Naive Bayes'. The best accuracy was produced by a RNN approach while Naive Bayes' finished a close second. ### Academic Intern @ Hewlett Packard Enterprise Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Singapore Training program on Big Data management using Hadoop. During this, I worked extensively with Hadoop in a Linux environment.
