Selected Projects:

· Designed, architected, and implemented a replication and fail-over system for a custom, distributed server application (Python, Jython, Java, VertX)

· Successfully ported a server application to an in-memory, key-value datastore in order to reduce latency

· Created a RESTful API server to expose access to a time-series database

· Built a web-crawling Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) tool to parse and index 1 million webpages

· Increased performance of a full-text search system by identifying and remedying architectural deficiencies (achieved a 60x improvement in response times)

· Created a python library to access SSE3/AVX instructions on x86-64 microprocessors, delivering a 4x performance increase on primary performance metric
