I lead design through ambiguity. My strongest work starts where the brief is wrong: reframing surface-level asks into the structural problems worth solving. Most recently, I was the sole designer for Kajabi Communities, the retention engine behind the largest all-in-one creator platform. The brief was UI polish.

Co-founded and lead product, UX systems, and brand for Pantheon—a physical consumer card game exploring African and African-diaspora mythology through strategic gameplay. 400+ cards across multiple editions.
Own the end-to-end product: game system design (taxonomy, mechanics, point economy), visual identity, packaging, go-to-market, and community engagement. Built a product ladder from Starter Kits to competitive expansions.
Grew and sustain a player community through weekly game nights, tournaments, and Discord—treating engagement loops, rewards, and events as product surfaces, not just marketing.
Run structured playtesting and iteration cycles, using qualitative and quantitative feedback to tune balance, validate mechanics, and decide which concepts graduate from prototype to production.

Drove –4.2pp 30-day churn and 82% first-session posting on Kajabi Communities—the company’s core retention surface—by redesigning activation, structure, and ownership loops for millions of creators.
Sole designer for the Communities platform. Reframed the problem from “UI polish” to a first-session confidence and activation failure, redirecting product strategy toward structure, guidance, and creator ownership.
Identified the primary drop-off—creators entering empty communities and leaving without posting—and prioritized fixes that surfaced value before content existed, including guided empty states and brand-forward onboarding surfaces.
Unified fragmented navigation into a single mental model (“Channels”), replacing feature-driven information architecture. Achieved 88% task success rate and +11% Week-1 creator retention with minimal reverts.
Designed scalable systems for creator ownership: tokenized theming with auto-adjusting HSL for 4.5:1 contrast, dark-mode readiness, custom navigation icons, and branded cover surfaces.
Shipped iteratively under public scrutiny, partnering cross-functionally with PMs, engineering, research, and data to manage scope, risk, and reversibility in a live product serving millions of end users.
Mentored designers and stewarded design systems, increasing team leverage and execution quality. Established principles (“design for 0→1,” “structure before polish,” “teach before content”) to guide scope and trade-off decisions.
Communities went from a paid add-on to free for every Kajabi creator—proof of its role as the platform’s retention backbone.

Designed public comments for Facebook Stories, shipping a new feedback layer on Meta’s fastest-growing format to 11M daily comments, +0.3% Story views, and +0.2% core sessions globally.
Owned interaction design for the feedback systems layer—commenting, reacting, and viewer-creator interaction models—on the Facebook app Stories team.
Framed the problem around a missing middle ground: lightweight reactions were too shallow and DMs were too private. Designed comments as a mid-weight feedback channel that drove engagement without cannibalizing messaging.
Navigated high-stakes constraints: introducing public feedback on a historically private surface, E2E encryption limiting behavioral visibility into DMs, and the risk of creator pressurization from visible engagement counts.
Evaluated multiple interaction models and shipped a personalized UFI (Universal Feedback Interface) that improved commenting adoption while managing the comments-to-replies-lost ratio—the strongest craft decision in the project.
Led cross-functional discovery with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Research, and Policy across four phased launches from 2020–2022, testing in Vietnam and Mexico before global rollout.
Feature was subsequently adopted by Instagram Stories, extending the design’s impact across Meta’s ecosystem.

• Designed and optimized high-traffic resume and profile funnels, improving activation, completion, and subscription conversion.
• Identified an underperforming high-value cohort (0–3 years experience) and reframed the issue from content quality to confidence and guidance.
• Improved input and guidance patterns (natural-language entry, guided filters, personalized suggestions for non-traditional backgrounds).
• Shipped improvements driving +110% volunteer roles added, +130% internship roles added, and a +14% lift in subscriptions.
