# Ravi Morbia > Senior Product Designer + Researcher + Strategist + Technologist Location: Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/ravimorbia From physics and astronomy to sociology, and now user experience design, I have studied many things in my life. I strive to apply everything I have learned towards making easy-to-use and delightful applications of technology. ## Work Experience ### Senior Product Designer @ NoRedInk Jan 2023 – Jan 2024 | Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area ### Senior Product Designer @ Dell Technologies Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | Austin, Texas, United States Led the end-to-end experience for 4 different products within the configure product line: hardware customization plus software, services, and cross sell attach. Took over major cross sell project, which had stagnated for over a year, and turned it around in 5 months, with a new MVP design backed by research and testing, as well as clear direction for the next 3 quarters. Mentored 4 designers, helping each with various aspects, from overall best practices to diligent research, exploration, prototyping, testing, and stakeholder management. Wrote an official guide to the discovery & framing process for new and less experienced designers at Dell. ### Product Designer @ Dell Technologies Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 | Austin, Texas Area Led full-scale discovery & framing effort to reimagine a key part of dell.com and Premier (Dell’s ecommerce platforms for consumer, small business, and enterprise). Facilitated more than 10 discovery and ideation sessions with our global core team. Regularly discussed research findings, test results, and milestone iterations with stakeholders, to keep everyone informed and aligned towards a single vision. Created meticulous documentation of research, rationale, and implementation notes to help the team execute on multiple phases, from A/B testing to MVP and beyond. Closely mentored another designer, who initially lacked proficiency in several foundational areas, but quickly grew to be capable of owning a product by himself. Provided full design support with a data driven, creative, and technical mindset on a multitude of projects across 4 distinct products. ### Product Designer @ Favor Delivery Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | Austin, Texas Area Deeply researched some of the biggest challenges of delivering anything, and formulated approaches to tackling solutions. Worked closely with a talented design and engineering team to create products that continually evolve the user experience and advance the industry. Rethought the workflows of internal tools to optimize performance and efficiency for other Favor team members. As 1 of only 2 UX focused designers at Favor, most of my projects involved researching and designing for some of the biggest challenges facing the gig economy and on-demand delivery. For Runners, these included making the job easier and more efficient so they can earn more money. Customers wanted to order from their favorite places, good service, and a low price And merchant partners needed smooth integration with their existing operations. Each of these segments is complex with many facets, and all of them are inextricably connected. Any change to one segment affects the others. My experience at Favor has trained me to think in terms of design systems rather than isolated instances. ### UX Design Lead @ Highmark Health Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Pittsburgh MHCI Capstone Project Interviewed patients and medical staff about the experience surrounding ERs. Compiled and analyzed data from users to expose problematic areas such as people’s propensity for going to the ER when it is not necessary. Designed a campaign, strategy, and interactive experiences using game design and persuasive principles to teach people which medical facilities are appropriate for minor conditions. ### UI Designer @ Novatraq Jan 2016 – Jan 2017 | Austin, TX Reviewed and reorganized the layout of information and user flows for the most important tasks. Redesigned visuals to reflect modern minimalist aesthetics and reinforce branding. Redesigned parts of existing application, which serves borrowers, lenders, and brokers. As the sole designer, I was responsible for architecting the layout of information as well as designing interactions and visuals. The different facets of my job gave me the opportunity to work closely with developers, quality assurance, and the Chief Technical Officer. The CTO and I regularly discussed users’ needs to determine the most relevant and beneficial features, while developers, QA, and I work together to ensure the final product reflects the intended design. Collaborated with developers to ensure accurate translation of design prototypes into final product Worked with CTO to determine most useful features for user base ### Graphic and UI Designer @ Solve4M Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 | Austin, Texas Area Redesigned Solve4M’s logo and made various graphics for marketing materials and presentations. Created first iteration of the site through sketches, wireframes, high fidelity mockups, and a prototype. Designed PowerPoint presentations and complementing printed sales collateral used to interest prospective partners in the concept. My work at Solve4M included content strategy, but the bulk of my projects involved graphic design, creating marketing collateral geared towards prospective corporate partners. My contributions included redesigning Solve4M's logo and producing illustrations for a presentation template that showed what Solve4M does, how it works, and the benefits of sponsorship. While some graphics were informational, others served to reinforce the messaging on their respective slides. Devising unique concepts for each illustration broadened my capacity for lateral thinking and visual design. ### Account Manager @ In Store Advantage Solutions Jan 2012 – Jan 2013 I pitched and sold DirecTV in stores like Best Buy and Sam's Club to customers looking for better service and experience. I also trained several people while building a team. ### Research Assistant @ UT Psychology Lab under Samuel Gosling Jan 2012 – Jan 2012 | UT Austin Campus The study compared how facebook users think they use the social media platform to actual data from participants' facebook timelines. I ran sessions with participants as well as anonymized and codified their data. ## Education ### Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction CMU Human-Computer Interaction Institute ### Associate's Degree in Web in Interactive, and UX Design, Web and Interactive Design Austin Community College ### Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology The University of Texas at Austin ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/ravimorbia - Portfolio: https://www.ravimorbia.webflow.io --- Source: https://flows.cv/ravimorbia JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/ravimorbia/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-31
