I am an MS in Computer Science student at Columbia University in the City of New York. Prior to joining Columbia for my Masters degree, I worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Samsung Research India with the Bixby Platform team in the Voice Intelligence R&D group. I had the opportunity to work on the intersection of Cloud and ML technologies, and see how they coexist in highly distributed real-time systems handling millions of users every minute. 

With experience in Java, Python, and C++, as well as various cloud technologies like AWS, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes, I am looking forward to exploring roles that help me use and expand my skillset in the domains of Software Development and Engineering.

• Designed and developed an integration testing tool in Java to verify the E2E flow of Bixby's data sync service. Saved 150+ hours of manual debugging and production rollbacks by identifying over 25 critical bugs
• Built a containerized Java client to periodically query the Bixby 2.0 Frontend Gateway and deployed on Azure AKS
• Contributed to the addition of Indian English support in Bixby, enhancing the experience of millions of Indian users

### Software Engineer @ Samsung Electronics

As a Software Engineer in the Bixby Platform team of the Voice Intelligence R&D group, I had the opportunity to work on various design, development, and ideation projects:
• Proposed and implemented a POC for queue migration in Bixby's data sync service. Added features for prioritized jobs and horizontal and vertical concurrency of the distributed queue 
• Led a POC to develop an in-house AI Platform for hosting and inferencing ML models. The work was nominated for submission to the global Samsung Best Paper Award (SBPA) 
• Established logging infrastructure for the Bixby 2.0 Gateway module utilizing FluentD, Prometheus, and Sumo Logic 
• Uplifted deployment process by Dockerizing modules and deploying them on Kubernetes with Helm, improving efficiency by 50%
• Achieved 75% cost saving annually by resizing and migrating AWS instances of Bixby's TTS servers across regions
• Proposed an idea in the annual C-Lab contest to revive an obsolete Samsung product by adding intelligent Bixby features to improve quality of life for visually impaired customers
• Presented a novel idea to Samsung India's MD as one of the finalist teams in Samsung's Next Flagship Ideathon contest, and was chosen as the 'Ideation Champion' in the Bixby Platform team

### Software Engineer Intern @ Samsung Electronics

• Worked with the IMS team of the Communication R&D group for incorporation and testing of 360° video calling on Samsung's native media verification application using Java and Android Studio
