Accelerating Garbage Collection - Unlike C, Java has automatic garbage collection allowing developers to create new objects without worrying about deallocation. However most garbage collection algorithms are not particularly fast. This project involved studying these garbage collection algorithms on the Jikes Research Virtual Machine via Dacapo benchmarks.Proposed ways to accelerate the process of garbage collection by examining data movement and bandwidth and their impact on cache performance.

Worked on an Electric Vehicle Security research project. My team aimed to analyze various car networks to determine existing security vulnerabilities. We used these vulnerabilities to model the car networks in XSB via a Python make-script to generate attack graphs. During the course of this research we worked with several car models such as Tesla S, Toyota Prius, Dodge Viper etc and.  proposed preventive solutions based on the results from attack strategies to protect car networks from being hacked into.
