I use design thinking as a tool to understand root problems and envision solutions that are user-friendly, feasible, and scalable. ## Work Experience ### Staff Product Designer @ Speak Jan 2024 – Jan 2026 | San Francisco Bay Area Designing experiences for a personal AI language tutor Designed the first AI tutoring + roleplay experience, featured in OpenAI’s speech-to-speech demo—enabling learners to roleplay with the tutor and break character to ask questions. Created the Tutor Lesson format—fully AI-generated and AI-delivered lessons that simulate the guidance of a real tutor, enabling dynamic exploration and scalable content creation. Launched Made for You and Targeted Lessons, personalized AI lesson types that generate unique content for each learner based on their level, goals, and mistakes—bringing true 1:1 tutoring to the app. Designed Tutor Threading, an interaction model where users can ask questions anytime and trigger on-demand AI-generated lessons—making the tutor a persistent, intelligent companion. ### Lead Product Designer @ DoorDash Jan 2022 – Jan 2024 | San Francisco Bay Area Spearheaded design for the Safe Reporting initiative escalation flows, reducing response time on critical safety issues for dashers by 66%, by prioritizing and triaging issues for support agents. Drove design for Consumer Fraud initiatives: Photo Collections for claims, Signature on Delivery, PIN code. Together leading to expected savings of $19M in profit. Designed new features for Consumer Chargebacks Fraud: Pause & Review by a support agent (instead of auto-block), and agent-assisted checkout when payment needs verification, together increasing gross order volume by $27M. For Dasher Fraud: Led Design for Payout Deferrals + Warnings, reducing instances of dasher fraud by 33% YoY. Standardized designs for education, notification, and escalation of dasher contract violations. Led vision and strategy work, including fraud design principles and hosting workshops for ideation and education. Pioneered and designed Customer-Dasher Auto Chat Translations (my Hackathon idea), resulting in 7.7-15.6% reduction in Never Delivered Orders when languages are mismatched (7-10% of orders), contributing to a combined annual profit improvement of over $925k. ### Senior Product Designer @ Coffee Meets Bagel Jan 2020 – Jan 2022 | San Francisco Bay Area Led design for revenue growth, including features for subscriptions. Helped grow revenue per user by 6.5%. Designed for global audiences, including regionalized features specifically tailored for Asia. Led design for Video Chat, including features tailored to dating: time limits and post-chat follow-up. Linkstreet (EdTech): Designed online classrooms, quizzes, and growth management dashboard for RapL, a micro-learning tool that’s helped 20,000+ businesses teach employees the skills they need to grow. Flipkart (e-commerce): Designed product and user experience for 2Gud from the ground up, which 10,000+ people have downloaded to buy verified refurbished electronics. Paisool (e-commerce): Conceptualized and designed an MVP for local grocery vendors that helps them grow their customer base with features like easy credits, custom subscriptions and scheduled delivery. ### HMI Designer @ Jaguar Land Rover UK Jan 2014 – Jan 2016 | United Kingdom Designed and owned end-to-end product for onscreen keyboards for displays in 32 languages for high end Jaguar and Landrover models (Touch/Touch pro/Touch pro duo). Also designed UX for seats & system settings. ### UI/UX Design & Research @ Tata Elxsi Jan 2013 – Jan 2014 | Bengaluru, Karnataka, India One of the top design agencies in India. I started as an intern and was converted to full-time. I worked for: Johnson & Johnson: Qualitative interviews and research synthesis to identify opportunities for an oral care product that appeals to the masses of India.
