Recently, I have been working on data and software solutions part-time to help a local music group hold events in Austin, TX.

Previously, I've worked all over the stack and in mobile at On Deck and Eat This Much - frontend (React, Backbone), backend (Python, TypeScript, GraphQL), iOS, and Flutter - and have worn design, product management, and product strategy hats from time to time.

I also completed a certificate in User Experience Design through General Assembly, where I built a prototype mobile app called Lily Pad to streamline communication with students and parents and the organization of assignments and feedback for K-12 teachers.

In a previous life, I was the Director of a team of 20 that organized, marketed, negotiated, sold, and executed a 400+ person, week-long ski and snowboard trip for students from across 8 University of California campuses.

- Created an initial version of a dashboard for founders in our cohorts in React + Typescript
- Developed a searchable, filterable investor database view using React + GraphQL
- Implemented a realtime, side-by-side edit view for our remote “demo day” platform
- Built and maintained internal tooling in Retool and GraphQL to add, manage, and review 1000s of investors’ data and 50+ founder submissions for our remote “demo day” platform

### Software Engineer @ Eat This Much

- Developed the redesigned mobile Collections feature in Flutter

- Designed and developed the Collections feature both on the web app and in iOS, including the ability to search foods within your collections and add collections to your meal plans. Users have created 25k+ collections to date with 200k+ collection items

- Overhauled all aspects of search. Improved search speed by up to 4x in some cases. Added support for fuzzy string matching and improved matching via scoring optimizations. Upgraded the look, feel, and filtering capabilities of the food browser and sidebar search.

- Built and deployed the Eat This Much Recipe Clipper Chrome Extension to allow users to clip recipes on the web and directly import them into Eat This Much, with 3000+ users currently

- Created a zero-downtime process for updating and rebuilding Elasticsearch indices and importing 1M+ Nutritionix foods into the database and into the food search results

### Embedded Software Engineer @ Ziva Corp.

- Developed system based on GPSD to acquire GPS data on target along with a protocol to retrieve the acquired GPS information
- Implemented printing of GPS data to KML in Matlab for test analysis in Google Earth
- Integrated custom Linux kernel with GPS and NFS capabilities onto targets with Buildroot
- Designed and implemented Matlab interface in Java for use with Serf for node discovery to improve system efficiency
