When I was young, very few things stood out to me. of those things, numbers and logic took my focus above all else. Understanding what I could from them drove me to higher education and eventually to where I got my degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz. It was here where my passion to learn flourished.

I started trying to learn more and more languages and exploring different fields to understand where I felt the most comfortable. From algorithms to data structures, from web languages to storage languages, I tried it all. Even now, in the industry, I am looking for more languages to add to my arsenal and expand my expertise.

• Worked in an Agile team of 6 to build a full stack real-time messaging app using React Native, PostgreSQL, and Firebase for authentication, under a 1-week time constraint
• Implemented navigation of different screens to dynamically render the correct channels and messages for every server with React Navigation
• Implemented private messaging feature between users with React Native and Socket.io allowing users to send messages only visible to the sender and recipient

### TechStyles API @ Personal Projects

• Reduced PostgreSQL query latency from 2m to 2s by indexing database tables and refactoring queries, reducing their complexity
• Enhanced throughput capacity of servers by 80% per additional server while maintaining a 60ms response
time and less than a 1% error rate using NGINX for load balancing and caching
• Assessed the pros and cons between MongoDb and PostgreSQL performance. PostgreSQL query performance was lacking initially but subsequent queries were significantly faster.
