JFK Airport Taxiway Rehabilitation Project:

• Inspect asphalt milling, paving, compaction, and joint construction to meet FAA/Port Authority standards.

• Verify subgrade preparation, base placement, and asphalt density/smoothness testing.

• Oversee installation of taxiway electrical systems including duct banks, conduits, counterpoise, and grounding.

• Inspect airfield lighting (edge lights, centerline lights, signage) for alignment, elevation, and wiring compliance.

• Witness cable pulling, splicing, and insulation resistance testing of FAA L-824 circuits.

• Ensure accurate pavement markings in accordance with FAA reflectivity and color requirements.

• Coordinate with airport operations on taxiway closures, barricades, and airfield safety.

• Maintain daily reports on manpower, materials, test results, and project progress.

• Track and document non-conformance issues through resolution.

• Develop master plans for airport expansions, renovations, and new construction projects, including layout, site analysis, and feasibility studies.

• Manage construction projects, review contractor plans, ensure compliance with specifications, and monitor project timelines and budgets.

• Conduct regular inspections of airport infrastructure, identify potential issues, and oversee maintenance activities to maintain safety and functionality.

• Stay updated on Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and ensure all airport designs and operations adhere to relevant standards.

• Work closely with other departments within the airport, including operations, maintenance, and security, to coordinate projects and address issues.

• Prepares drawings directly in conjunction with FAA engineers for construction projects or parts and assemblies, including various views, sectional profiles, irregular or reverse curves, hidden lines, and small or intricate details.

• Preparing several views of a simple gear system from a layout and manual references and obtaining dimensions and tolerances from manuals and by measuring the layout.

• Preparing and revising detail and design drawings for such projects as the construction and installation of electrical or electronic equipment, plant wiring, and the manufacture and assembly of printed circuit boards that include details of mountings, frames, guards, or other accessories; conduit layouts; or wiring diagrams indicating transformer sizes, conduit locations and mountings.

• Drawing base and elevation views, sections, and details of new bridges or other structures, revising complete sets of roadway drawings for highway construction projects, or preparing block maps, indicating water and sewage line locations.

• Draftsman and assistant for a Registered Architect to produce design and construction drawings using AutoCAD.

● Responsible for field sketching and measuring for private clients, typically 75% residential and 25% commercial projects.

● Ability to understand and accurately read building plans and specifications.

● Collaborating with architects and construction engineers in compliance with applicable New York State Building and Zoning Codes.

● Effectively communicating with clients throughout projects to correspond any changes or alterations.

• Draftsman for PLC systems for elevators.

• Assisting the engineering department to develop technical documentation to support client projects/jobs.

• Create documentation using tools like AUTOCAD, Visual CADD, VISIO, Excel, C++

• Ensures compliance with applicable company and client quality requirements in all assigned programs, functions, products, and areas.
