# Robert Paige > Creative Director | Creative Systems, AI-Enabled Production & Brand at Scale | Ex-Instacart, Lyft Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/robertpaige Most creative organizations are built for output. Not for scale. At a certain point, the question stops being: "How do we make great work?" It becomes: "How do we build a system that can produce great work-consistently, at scale, and across every surface of the business?" That's the work I've spent my career focused on. I operate at the intersection of creative, production systems, and Al-helping technology companies scale how they tell their story. At Instacart, I built the in-house creative production ecosystem from the ground up during a period of rapid growth and IPO. That meant: • Designing the infrastructure behind creative • Integrating Al into production workflows • Building teams that could operate as both craft and system • Enabling creative to scale across brand, product, and performance The work wasn't just about producing campaigns. It was about changing how creative operates inside the business. Before that at Lyft, I started to explore how video and motion could move beyond execution into scalable systems-introducing dynamic rendering and early production frameworks that could adapt across channels. Across both, the throughline has been the same: Creative is no longer just a function. It's a system. And increasingly, that system is being reshaped by Al. I've spent the last several years building and leading that shift-developing internal tools, integrating emerging platforms, and helping teams rethink how content is created, adapted, and deployed. I tend to operate as a player-coach: close enough to the work to understand how it's built, but focused on designing the systems that allow it to scale. I've also shared this work more broadly, speaking at conferences on Al, creative systems, and the future of production. ## Work Experience ### Creative Director @ Instacart Jan 2021 – Jan 2026 | San Francisco Bay Area Led creative during a period of rapid growth and IPO, building the systems, team, and production infrastructure that enabled creative to scale as a core business function across brand, product, and growth. • Built and led a multidisciplinary team, establishing creative as both a system and a strategic function across the organization • Integrated AI into the creative ecosystem, shaping how content is produced, adapted, and deployed across the organization • Defined the model for translating brand storytelling into scalable systems that support both top-of-funnel brand and performance marketing • Partnered with executive and cross-functional leadership to align creative with product launches, feature adoption, and company priorities • Built and led a multidisciplinary team, setting the standard for how creative operates as both a craft and a system ### Founding Motion Designer @ Instacart Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 Founding Motion Designer at Instacart, helping define how motion and storytelling scaled across brand and performance. ### Design Mentor @ adplist.org Jan 2020 – Jan 2024 | San Francisco, CA, United States Mentoring over 100+ designers!
