# Rob Swift > Founding Designer at Owner.com Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/robswift I'm an accomplished Product Designer and Coder with a dedicated work ethic. I’ve built products for a variety of companies; from fintech, to healthtech, to travel, to creative arts - turning ideas into fully developed products. With an extensive knowledge of the current design landscape, and a wide understanding and deep interest in the tech industry, I am able to use my skills to test products in their early stages all the way through to them being production ready and then beyond release, always making sure that the product is suited to set user needs. Product design is something I’m extremely passionate about, I have a very forward thinking and innovative mind with knowledge of Lean UX, and Lean Startup. I keep myself educated on the changes and trends in design from other products in the market, and make sure my own designs follow the latest trends and are intuitive. Most importantly, I build products through person driven design. I put the person who will use the product at it’s heart, and tailor it towards them and their way of thinking. ## Work Experience ### Senior Staff Product Designer @ Owner.com Jan 2025 – Present ### Design Lead on New Ventures @ Owner.com Jan 2024 – Jan 2025 ### Design Manager @ Owner.com Jan 2024 – Jan 2025 ### Founding Product Designer (Staff) @ Owner.com Jan 2022 – Jan 2024 ### Lead Product Designer @ Fast Jan 2022 – Jan 2022 ### Senior Consultant @ Infinity Works Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | Manchester, England, United Kingdom ### Product Designer & Product Manager @ Orton Publishing Jan 2016 – Jan 2022 | Manchester, United Kingdom Orton is a publishing platform. Together with some friends we formed a dream team and organised the first ever 24 hour hackathon to beat cancer. For 24 hours from October 10th – 11th 2015 forty of the best techies from around the UK, and the rest of the world, gathered at Google Campus in Shoreditch to build products to beat cancer. To help survivors, fighters and anyone affected by cancer. We raised £2800 pounds for Teenage Cancer Trust and Cancer Research, and what's more the talented hackers their created products that will hopefully one day make an impact. After Hack Cancer we became "Health Hacks" and our next target is the UK's number one killer, heart disease. ### Lead UI Designer & Senior Associate Software Engineer @ Capital One Jan 2014 – Jan 2016 | Nottingham, England I worked closely with the UX team to carry out customer research to ground the design with insight and purpose. I designed the Capital One credit card Android app using material design principals and I designed and coded the iOS app. I designed the first icon set for the apps. I created a grid and guidelines in which to base icon design so that others could create more icons freely. For the latest version of the app we had to adapt and adhere to new brand guidelines from the US team. It was my job to master these guidelines and feed them back to team and create a concept of what the apps would look like under the new guidelines. For the iOS app I coded a way in which the app could change it’s whole theme in minutes to adhere to new brand guidelines or even, as Capital One looks to release apps for it’s partner brand, adapt the theme to adhere to partner brand guidelines. I also pioneered a new product named Payment Pool. Designed and coded in my self development time, with in depth business logic and customer research considered, Payment Pool will help customers succeed with credit. ## Education ### Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry The Manchester Metropolitan University ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/robswift1 --- Source: https://flows.cv/robswift JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/robswift/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-13
