My work has reduced manufacturing COGS, cut design time, and saved hundreds of thousands in infrastructure costs while establishing architectural patterns and reliability standards used across the organization. I've worked across all the supply chain functions from design through manufacturing and shipping. I've led major technical initiatives including rebuilding our task assignment system and implementing foundational manufacturing architecture. Before this I worked at Amazon Care - a hybrid virtual & in-person healthcare offering with a focus on high-value, coordinated care. I started on the Engineering Security team where I built out critical services and libraries used across the org. I then moved to the Clinical Experience & Services org. I lead engineering teams and partner closely with our product, clinical and ops team to define our long-term strategy, deliver features and work on process improvements to support Amazon Care’s ever-growing list of service offerings. Previously worked at Microsoft Azure in Azure CAT. We designed, implemented and created references for new architectural patterns on the Azure platform for our largest customers with a focus on scale and availability. My work spans technical architecture, cross-functional leadership, and strategic implementation that directly impacts business outcomes. Working with our Design team, I spearheaded the complete redesign of our mission-critical task assignment system, eliminating recurring outages and dramatically improving engineering feature velocity. This initiative reduced average design lead time by 15 minutes *per order* and saved team leads 48 hours *per week per product line*. By collaborating closely with operations leadership, we implemented a rollout strategy that prioritized high-impact areas first, immediately delivering value to the business. In Manufacturing and Shipping, I architected foundational systems that decoupled manufacturing processes from sales workflows. I led the auto-nesting integration that reduced cycle time from 8 hours to under 2 hours and decreased nesting time from 60 to 8 minutes for 70% of all milling cases. Implementing manufacturing orders and subunit tracking unlocked critical roadmap initiatives, including our automated manufacturing lines. All these projects directly contributed to reducing manufacturing paid direct labor time and total manufacturing COGS. Beyond the supply chain teams, I've driven engineering initiatives across the organization. I'm evaluating and driving the rollout of LLM-based developer tools to improve engineering productivity. I worked on improvements to the company's technical interview process. I spearheaded the transition from Event Sourced to CRUD-based persistence, standardizing development practices company-wide. I started on the Engineering Security team where I built out the services and client libraries required to handle Delegated Authorization flows across the org. This system is used across all our engineering systems today. I have since moved to the Clinician Experience team. Here, I led engineering teams across the org to re-architect our systems, revisit our data models and update entity relationships for Amazon Care's national expansion in 2021. I also led a redesign of our appointments system to support dynamic, configuration-based appointments which reduced manual workflows and eliminated operational load.
