# Rohit Jnagal > Compute @ Databricks Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/rohitjnagal Rohit has a wide variety of research and development experience in cloud native infrastructure, containers, cluster management, distributed systems, virtualization, core operating system development, and building highly scalable services. Rohit is a senior staff software engineer at Google leading various teams on Google's container infrastructure, Google Cloud, and compute efficiency across all Google product groups. Rohit works on Borg, the cluster management solution at Google. He led the effort on performance and isolation of containers and new server designs to enable efficient use of Google fleet. Rohit led the effort to open-source Borg's resource model through projects like LMCTFY and cadvisor. He worked with docker project as a maintainer to integrate key ideas from Borg's model. Rohit spent a couple of years to help build Kubernetes v1. Before Google, Rohit worked at virtualizing various resources. At 3Leaf, he worked on virtualizing a pool of compute and storage servers into one big hyper-machine. Prior to that, he worked at HP Labs on virtualizing memory on HPUX systems. At Veritas/Symantec, Rohit worked on volume manager for Linux systems. Rohit's education includes a BTech degree in EE and an MTech in Microelectronics from IIT Bombay. During college, he worked on CAD algorithms for chip design. Rohit lives in the bay area with his wife and son. Outside work, he loves to spend his time running through the beautiful trails in the bay and occasionally participates in marathons. ## Work Experience ### Principal Engineer @ Databricks Jan 2023 – Present | Mountain View, California, United States ### Principal Engineer @ Google Jan 2009 – Jan 2023 | Mountain View, CA Compute Efficiency Lead - Build and deploy next gen of h/w and s/w infrastructure to make Google run efficiently for Cloud, ML, and all Google products.
