Developing and maintaining integrations and APIs between nCino’s mortgage application and several Loan Origination Services (Encompass, Byte, etc.). Currently writing in Ruby on Rails, C#, and Vue, with some infrastructure work and more thrown in too.
As a part of the Administrative Services Group, I help create and maintain 10+ internal applications for the university. My main project at the moment is migrating our apps to the MEAN stack. I have also written applications, using PHP and MySQL, for thousands of employees to create yearly performance reviews and write award nominations. I also provide IT support for about 40 employees in HR departments on campus.
I worked on two agile scrum teams that oversee international shipment clearance. These teams use applications written in the Java Spring framework, with an Angular 6 front-end. I helped with the maintenance of these applications including implementing Blue-Green deployment for Pivotal Cloud Foundry, decreasing pending message counts from around 20,000 to around 300 at any moment, and cleaning of database records every 15 minutes. It was a great experience to dive into real code and pair with other developers.
I worked in the Continuing Education Department of BYU. My main focus was quality assurance testing of online registration software for Independent Study classes, youth events, and other programs. I performed manual testing and automated tests using Selenium in Adobe ColdFusion. I’ve enjoyed seeing the ins and outs of a large scale website and solving problems that might occur for users.
