• Dynamic design and analysis of servo writer process and equipment
• Setup SOPs, test plan, and dynamics specs for servowriter platform and factory environment
• Design and conduct engineering experiment including vibration / acoustic / thermal / pressure
• Conduct component and system level dynamics analysis on HDD / motor / fan / fixture / cell / rack
• Evaluate dynamic performance of automation tools and identify noise / vibration source
• Define acoustic and floor vibration specs for servo writer installation in factory environment
• Design modification with cost reduction for current and next generation SSW rack and cabinet
• Characterize MEMS accelerometer to implement a 24/7 shock and vibration monitoring system
• Mechanical Design
• Design fixtures, parts of machine, operation station and processing tools
• Design from conceptual to detail design, sketch to prototype and release to factory
• Apply GD&T in tooling hardware design and conduct experiment verification
• Review design concept and drawings from suppliers and provide suggestions
• Evaluate design using finite element analysis (FEA) for stress-strain-deformation analysis
• Electro-mechanical package design including battery, wireless antenna, sensors, PCBA
• Lead engineer of Helium processing tools and bulk erase tools
• Responsible for tools performance evaluation, maintenance, upgrade and training
• Define calibration, correlation and repeatability matrices for Helium vacuum machine
• Co-work with manufacturing team and vendors in China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand
