I cut my teeth at TiVo working alongside and within the brilliant TiVo Usability Team. I was responsible for maintaining and refreshing the existing legacy TiVo UI. I designed new core features, icons, settings and OOBE screens and many conceptual ideas for user-research, executive staff, and business development. I also designed the popular TiVoToGo web app and video player. I'm responsible for the added tactile texture on the back of the symmetrical (peanut) TiVo remote control — for purpose of "blind" orientation...an industrial design achievement which turned up on many OEM remote controls after TiVo's hit the market.

DoDots was desktop widgets (eg. Dashboard) long before desktop widgets became popular on Mac OS and other web properties (Yahoo widget). We called them "Dots". I designed the primary "Home Dot" software UI and was responsible for design of numerous popular “Dots" and “Dot Packs”. Dots allowed for a user to track and monitor snippets of web content (stocks, auctions, weather, sports, etc.) inside of small widget-like “dots” without the need to launch a browser.
