As a Consulting Practice Manager in Oracle, I am responsible for a team of technical consultants, technical architects, and QA engineers who deliver best in class experiences for our customers. I have also been involved in training and ramping up an offshore team of 10+ people who will assist in our delivery of project work with the largest companies in the world. My dedication to success has been lifelong, and this position gives me the ability to have a larger impact on our organization than I could have had in just a technical developer role. As a Senior Technical Architect, I was a top engineer in our group, the go to person for escalations, peer support, and problems that no one else could fix. During this time I focused on standing up systems and processes to support our development team and methodology. I helped architect and build a complete end to end version control system on top of git that has completely changed the way that we develop and deliver projects within our organization. I stood up and managed a private install of a third party application for team collaboration, tracking tickets, wikis, code repositories, etc. I worked closely with management to streamline process for delivery as well as accountability of our engineers while focusing on security, scalability, and maintainability.
