-Maintained cultures for freshwater and marine algae. (S. capricornutum and Thalassiosira pseudonona)
-Performed data entry and analyses which require proficiency in CETIS (Comprehensive Environmental Toxicity Information System) biostatistical software for environmental toxicology. 
-Maintained the lab: includes knowing how to properly use, calibrate and service all lab instruments for monitoring temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, and salinity/conductivity. 
-Duties also included preparing solutions, chemical handling, and maintenance of organism cultures.
