Principal Engineer and proven leader with a track record of architecting and deploying complex, mission-critical solutions under tight deadlines.
Experience
2018 — Now
San Francisco, California & Madrid, Spain
I lead a multi-disciplinary organization—spanning hardware, firmware, software, field technicians, and trainers—on a mission to transform fleet operations worldwide. My passion is building data-driven telematics solutions that reduce emissions, streamline logistics, and enhance driver experiences.
Key Highlights
Mensa Telematics Solution
Spearheaded a robust platform delivering real-time vehicle insights, integrating seamlessly with diverse OEMs, and empowering fleet operators to make smarter decisions at scale.
Smart Engine Idle Control System (SECS)
Engineered a pioneering on/off approach—coupled with passive entry—that slashes idle time, aids regulatory compliance, and simplifies delivery workflows.
Hardware & Firmware Innovation
Drive ongoing retrofit efforts to support multiple vehicle types, designing custom modules (e.g., CAN to DATALINK) for third-party telematics integrations.
Edge-Based Computer Vision
Led R&D for on-device driver behavior detection. Though not commercialized, it laid vital groundwork for future AI-driven safety features.
Global Partnerships & Tenders
Collaborated with major automakers (including rigorous testing to become an official Toyota part) and helped secure high-profile contracts by demonstrating superior technical solutions.
Scaling & Culture Building
Established a new engineering hub in Pune—overseeing construction, recruiting 80+ personnel, and fostering a culture of rapid prototyping and collaboration.
Beyond development, I serve as a solutions advocate, traveling with executives to present proof-of-concept designs that address real-world customer needs. I thrive at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and tangible business impact, always seeking to elevate what’s possible in connected mobility.
If you share my enthusiasm for next-generation telematics, sustainability, and user-centric innovation, let’s connect and shape the future of transportation together.

Led the technical strategy and implementation for GoPro's software quality systems and cloud based continuous integration infrastructure. Managed a small team of engineers/managers who oversaw mobile, web, and wireless camera test development.
I designed and built core components of GoPro’s testing infrastructure including:
* System and method for discovery/provisioning of GoPro cameras in Jenkins CI
* Containerized Proxy Service (Docker/Kubernetes) for GoPro Plus subscription service
* Delivered a highly scalable Nightwatch.js implementation to support a ~40 web developers
* Redesigned build pipelines for mobile/web and introduced wireless camera testing via CI
* Implemented Style Guide/Linting and Code Coverage analysis to Pull Requests pipelines
Helped steer the Development, Quality, and DevOps organizations as a member of the DOATL (DevOps Architecture and Technical Leadership) group who was tasked with PRD review and technical oversight.
Own engineering process improvement for the department, both driving improvements and delegating to the team, including creating weekly reports on department specific metrics.
Establish area performance standards and goals, and hold the team accountable to hitting them.
Put sustainable, repeatable processes in place. Hold the team accountable to following them and empower the team to suggest process improvements.
Build and develop the team. Hold regular 1:1s with Engineers in Test & Managers to ensure their development and own the onboarding and training for new team members.
Strengthened and focused in-house capabilities while redirecting from reliance on vendors.
Established a new team of 30+ QA professionals with multiple projects in Bucharest, Romania.
