Write Jest unit tests and Cypress integration tests to improve code reliability and product quality. Participate in Agile scrum and code reviews promoting best practices and coding standards. Work with back end developers to interface with CRUD API. - Maintain, develop, and propose new features for the browser-based, data visualization tool KX Dashboards using Typescript, HTML, CSS, Backbone.js, JQuery. Write Nightwatch integration tests. - Build dashboards for specific client implementations while mentoring junior developers. ### HTML5 Developer @ KX Jan 2019 – Jan 2022 | County Dublin, Ireland and Remote USA ### Implementation Consultant @ Planisware Jan 2015 – Jan 2018 | Trevose, PA Provided technical solutions using Planisware’s portfolio management software to various clients including Johnson & Johnson, CAE, and Apotex. Supported IT teams, business analysts, and project managers by troubleshooting technical problems with their software configurations, designing new features according to complex business requirements, and providing training as needed. Scripting done using Javascript, BASH, and SQL. ### Graduate Mathematics Instructor @ Penn State University Jan 2014 – Jan 2015 | State College, PA Taught 5 course sections, 16.0 total credits, and over 170 total students over the course of 4 semesters. Responsible for writing and delivering lectures, assigning weekly homework and quizzes, holding office hours, and leading additional exam review sessions. Courses Taught: MATH 017 (Finite Mathematics): Spring 2014, Fall 2014, Spring 2015 (12.0 total credits) MATH 140 (Calculus with Analytic Geometry I): Summer 2014 (4.0 total credits) ### Research Assistant @ Drexel University Mathematics Department Jan 2012 – Jan 2012 | Philadelphia, PA Worked on open problems in matrix analysis and linear algebra. The work consisted of formulating conjectures and proving theorems about minimal normal completions of matrices. Used Maple and MATLAB to run numerical experiments and to solve complicated systems of polynomial equations using Grobner bases. The research resulted in a joint publication with my advisor, Hugo Woerdeman. I also gave a contributed talk on our research at the International Linear Algebra Society 2013 Meeting in Providence, RI in June 2013. ### Research Assistant @ Drexel University Physics Department Jan 2011 – Jan 2011 | Philadelphia, PA Worked as a research assistant for my advisor, Jelena Maricic. Conducted testing of photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) for the Long Baseline Neutrino Experiment (LBNE). Wrote software (using C++, BASH, and ROOT) to analyze PMT data for afterpulses and implemented an existing C++ Monte Carlo simulation of LBNE to compute the angular dependence of light concentrators in order to compare it to real data. ### Software Engineer @ Lockheed Martin Jan 2010 – Jan 2010 Contributed software skills on a team of engineers performing readiness testing for the U.S. Navy’s Aegis Weapon System. Helped analyze software problems to help debug and maintain the program ORTS (Operational Readiness Test System) using Ada and Java on Unix machines. Assisted with ORTS software development and designed BASH scripts for the purpose of simpli- fying repetitive developer tasks. ### Research Assistant @ Drexel University STAR program Jan 2009 – Jan 2009 | Philadelphia, PA Designed a C++ computer simulation under the guidance of my advisor, Jelena Maricic, to investigate the background effects that nuclear powered vessels would have near Hanohano, a proposed underwater antineutrino detector. Created a poster summarizing my results and presented the poster at the end of the summer during STAR (students tackling advanced research) Student Poster Day. ## Education ### Master’s Degree in Mathematics Penn State University Jan 2013 – Jan 2015 ### Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Physics (double major) Drexel University Jan 2008 – Jan 2013 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/ryan-wasson --- Source: https://flows.cv/ryanwasson JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/ryanwasson/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-22
