I'm Sahith, a Frontend Developer working on creating beautiful and effective products. ‍I bring a blend of UI Development and UX Design skill sets to the table, ensuring that every aspect of a product I work on is functional and user-centric. I'm driven by a curiosity to explore and understand the cause and effect in everything around me, which fuels my knack for problem-solving. I strive to create tools that enable everyday workflows and seamlessly integrate into people's daily lives. ## Work Experience ### Frontend Engineer @ Tesla Jan 2025 – Present | San Francisco Bay Area Building interfaces that support the world’s transition to sustainable energy. ### UX Research Moderator @ Tata Elxsi Jan 2025 – Jan 2025 | Santa Clara, California, United States ### Frontend Engineer @ LePal.ai Jan 2024 – Jan 2025 Tools: React +TypeScript, TailwindCSS, Redux + Tanstack Query, Figma(Design) Lepal.AI is a mental wellness app powered by AI to help young adults navigate modern challenges. I helped develop a web version of the already existing mobile product. I came in at the 0-1 stage where I was responsible for creating interfaces for the SPA and choosing the tech stack for it. Most of my work included working with components where my workflow included - Assessing/tweaking Figma copy - React implementation with data state synced with mobile platform - Tailwind Styling and user interactivity - Integration with Storybook(a11y testing, docs) and pushing to a local component library. I also built a scalable component system for the web product to ensure consistent UI and accelerate feature development, and enhanced animations for a smoother user experience. Beyond the technical work, I conducted user interviews and turned those insights into improved user flows, boosting early retention by 15% in the beta phase. These efforts supported a successful App Store launch, surpassing 500 downloads and earning a 4.6 average rating in the first month. ### UX Engineer @ The HCD Experience Jan 2023 – Jan 2023 | Maryland, United States Tools: HTML/SCSS/Vanilla JS(prototype), ReactJS + TypeScript/SCSS(final product) In this role, I identified inefficiencies in the design handoff process within a developer-heavy team, which led to delays in feature development and miscommunication between designers and developers. To address this, I led the adoption of a new Design Scaffolding method, incorporating developers into the prototyping stages of the design process. This involved creating mid-fidelity, API-friendly HTML prototypes, enabling faster and more effective iterations. By replacing the traditional design handoff with a more collaborative prototyping phase, I reduced feature development time, facilitating the transition from prototype to production-ready features. Additionally, I improved communication between designers and developers by involving developers early in the design process, ensuring alignment throughout product development. ### UX Designer @ LinkApp Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 - Served as the sole designer in an early-stage startup environment, taking the product from concept (0) to MVP launch (1). - Developed a comprehensive design system from scratch, cutting future design and development iteration time by 40%. - Conducted preliminary user research with over a dozen small-scale shop owners, identifying 3 unique user archetypes that shaped the product’s core features. - Oversaw the design of key user flows and interactive prototypes, enabling a successful initial beta launch to 50 early adopters and reducing onboarding time by 40%. ### Frontend developer (Mobile) @ ADP Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 My responsibilities included contributing to the design and development of ADP's payroll products introduced on a kiosk level. This meant understanding the native functionalities of the various kiosk devices built on an open-source Android platform. The UI development was done using React Native for the most part excluding features requiring native functionality which then needed native Java development. I took over some UX design responsibilities as well for certain mobile features which included working with tools such as Adobe XD and Miro. ### Frontend Developer (Web) @ ADP Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 Tools: ReactJS + TypeScript/SCSS, Redux, React Router, Postman, Git. Jenkins(CI/CD) My work included designing User-Interfaces for ADP's Time and Labor Management web products used by over 50000 users. The development was done by making use of ADP's in-house Meta Data Framework which is built upon a React JS platform. My responsibilities also included making use of tools such as Git for version control, Bitbucket for repository management, and Jenkins to build, test and deploy the latest code. ### UI Developer (Flutter) @ Carrotbox Technologies Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | Hyderabad, Telangana, India Using Flutter to develop a hybrid Android/iOS application. ## Education ### Master's degree in Human-Centered Computing University of Maryland Baltimore County ### Bachelor of Technology - BTech in Computer Science and Engineering Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/sahithreddya - Portfolio: https://sahithreddy.in/ - GitHub: https://github.com/sahithreddya - Behance: https://www.behance.net/sahithreddya --- Source: https://flows.cv/sahithreddy1 JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/sahithreddy1/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-13
