### Senior Lead Software Engineer @ The College Board

- Nominated and won as the most agile development team at College Board in 2020
- Pioneered an AWS Fargate solution after initial pushback, showing our teams the use cases of Fargate over Lambdas.
- Rebuilt our outdated and complex college survey data collection system. It now runs on a React front end and a headless CMS backend hosted on Fargate using backend services such as Lambdas, SQS, and Aurora SQL.
- Developed robust AWS serverless backends for our Career Finder data in order to extract and serve data to our partner, Road Trip Nation. AWS services include Lambda, Aurora RDS, S3, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, CodePipeline, SQS, and IAM.
- Worked with product owners to plan and execute solutions to solve business problems and satisfy business needs.
- Redesigned our testing approach for more robust and efficient testing of our applications, forming a standard across our team. 
- Developed an AWS ETL that receives millions of records each month from our partner, Pearson, and moves those records through validations, transformations and into the correct storages to serve College Board’s other internal projects. 
- Created the first ever online SAT prototype that can support 1 million concurrent students, with an extremely aggressive due date. Our microservice parses recordings of students taking the SAT and streams it through machine-learning models to detect instances of cheating. We also built a React UI interface where human proctors can log in and review recordings. They can confirm or deny flagged videos, which will feed data to improve the machine-learning algorithm. AWS services used include Lambdas, DynamoDB, Fargate, S3, SQS, SNS, CloudFront and WAF. 
- Developed one of the first AWS CDK CI/CD pipelines at the CollegeBoard.
- Worked with directors and product owners and led the team to meet aggressive deadlines. Took on responsibilities such as PR reviews, mentoring/training and architecture design.

### Software Engineer @ Practical Solutions, Inc.
Jan 2017 – Jan 2020 | Washington D.C. Metro Area
- Lead the development for Iris Peak’s marketplace web app, creating a robust Node API and a fast React front-end in order to have a performant, clean website packed with features, integrating Dynamics 365, Google Analytics, Azure and Microsoft Partner Center. 
- Increased page visits by 50% and decreased loading time by 70% by remaking the Practical Solutions Inc. main website from scratch using Javascript, HTML and Bootstrap, hosted on Azure, connected to Dynamics 365
- Created a back-end application for Practical Solutions to pull and store federal contract data on a scheduled basis and visualize it on the front-end. This flow involved developing a secure Node.js API, using python scripting in a virtual shell environment, and Azure Logic Apps to modify the data and deposit it into a SQL database on Azure. Also, developed the front-end using React.js to pull the data from the SQL server and portray them in interactive visualizations.
- Consulting for CEOs, Directors and Supervisors. Identified problems, led discussions, developed plans, presented and executed solutions to the clients’ problems 
- Created a comprehensive Vue.js dashboard for USAGM to interactively and cleanly visualize data analytics, statistics, and projections through visuals such as graphs, charts, and diagrams. Developed many secure Node.js back-ends to create multiple scalable API’s for our DataLake containing Postgres databases and buckets that are hosted on Azure. Also, led a complete integration of another program called SMART, migrating their data, visualizations and assets, and infusing it into the USAGM website  
- Became the adhoc lead developer for a time due to the resignation of the only senior developer
