Most of my work is on applications of machine learning and data mining to the anti-abuse / security domain.  I've also worked on scalable fault-tolerant distributed systems engineering and user experience design, and I've dabbled in software-defined wireless communication and navigation, online community management, bioinformatics, geospatial visualization, and a variety of other fun things.

I previously spent some time doing systems/network engineering; if you've been an avid Internet user for a few years, some of your packets have almost certainly gone over cables that I physically plugged in, which I think is kinda neat.

Development and production deployment of standards and software for managing mid- and large-scale Web and application server clusters with multi-tier caching infrastructures.  Construction of tools for automated and semi-automated scalability, security, and reliability analysis and monitoring of service-provider networks.
