We partner with businesses and organizations all over the world to help them achieve their goals through crafted design and development solutions. ### Senior UI/UX Designer @ NewSpring Church Jan 2015 – Jan 2017 NewSpring is a church in South Carolina with 14 campuses. I worked on several different projects alongside their development team. I helped to design and build a custom system so members could give to the church, while keeping feature parity with their existing solution. I helped produce a solution that enabled members to give in under 10 secs, and increased their giving by more than 5%. I also helped to design a web application called group finder, where people can simply and quickly find a community group to attend based on their interests and location. Finally I worked with their team to design and build a native phone and tablet app to help people connect with the NewSpring church community and stay up to date with the latest content. We used React and Cordova to manage a webview driven native app published across iOS, Android, and Fire OS. ### Business Consultant & Product Designer @ Bethel Music / WorshipU Jan 2011 – Jan 2015 | Redding, California Area Bethel Music initially engaged me to consult and then build an online division of their summer worship school, WorshipU. I helped to build a team that oversaw multiple iterations of the product, growing the business into a video-based worship/music school with 10,000 paying monthly subscribers. The web application and native app gives students an immersive learning environment that includes discussion boards, commenting, live video streams, and more. I also worked alongside the record label arm of Bethel Music on iterations of the web site, a full scale rebrand, and the marketing campaigns for multiple album launches, and worldwide tours. ### Founder @ Vybe Jan 2011 – Jan 2012 | Redding, California Area A startup I founded with two partners. We raised $70k in seed funding at a $1 million valuation on our initial idea. At our peak we had more than 20k weekly active users and delivered over 10 million notifications to fans about their favorite artists. Unfortunately, we were unable to achieve profitability and break onto a better growth trajectory, so ultimately we ran out of runway. ORIGINAL PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Vybe is the first app of it’s kind, bringing you music experiences from the artists you love so you’ll never miss a beat. Vybe pulls together all relevant information from across the web into one profile for each artist and puts it in your pocket. It knows what artists you love and will automatically update you whenever they release new music, have nearby concerts, and more! It’s kinda like the postman for music information. ### Product Designer @ Activacy Jan 2011 – Jan 2011 | Redding, California Area Building a social justice social media site to: inspire youth to realize they can be part of the solution to social injustice and empower them to live a lifestyle of informed activism and advocacy. ### Music Therapist @ Caroline Chisholm School Jan 2007 – Jan 2008 | Northampton, United Kingdom I ran a music therapy program for high schoolers to boost social confidence and self esteem, while also teaching music and team work skills. Students were taught the basics of music composition and were equipped to write a song individually expressing their emotions, while also writing a song collectively as a group. I, then, worked to provide the instrumentation and production for the songs, taking students to a recording studio to lay down the vocal tracks for their composition. The students were taught how to design and make the packaging for the records they had produced. In some instances, students went on to perform the songs in front of their peers. ### Nursing Assistant @ St Andrews Hospital Jan 2004 – Jan 2006 | Northampton, United Kingdom ## Education ### Certificate in Data Visualization The New School ### Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse/Nursing University of Northampton ### Music Bethel School Of Ministry ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/sam-claridge-5b599224 --- Source: https://flows.cv/samclaridge JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/samclaridge/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-31
