Developing the UI for a YC backed company that is improving the way we monitor, control, and automate spacecraft operations

Responsibilities:

• Leading development and implementation of frontend systems for AI-driven software leveraging Next.js, React, JavaScript, and CSS to deliver responsive and scalable UI

• Established a robust component library based on atomic design principles using ChakraUI - ensuring scalability and reusability

• Took designs from ideation to implementation. Closely collaborating with backend teams to outline API structure and ensure end-to-end functionality for key application features

• Creating new and elegant user-facing features in the UI for customers to interact with Carta's AI solutions

• Maintaining and improving upon a massive React codebase by iterating upon previously written code and introducing new features - keeping component reusability and scalability in mind

• Ensuring quality and UI functionality through leveraging Redux for predictable state management and Jest/Enzyme to adhere to Test Driven Development

• Developed Python scripts and Splunk queries to pull API data and visualize security analytics to minimize network vulnerabilities

I assisted weekly in classes intended for exceptional students to teach them the fundamentals of coding. As an assistant, I was responsible for:

• Preparing coursework, content, and leading a class of 15-20 students

• Explaining Computer Science fundamentals such as: different data types, data structures, consistent formatting, etc.

• Live debugging and common debugging practices

• Facilitating a non-intimidating environment to encourage group work and to make coding enjoyable
