Data Virtualization as a Service (DVaaS) https://www.ibm.com/analytics/data-virtualization
• Implement various components of database as a service on IBM Cloud
Database migration activities
• Help customers migrate to IBM Db2 databases. On - premise, hybrid and on cloud
• Advocate usage of migration tooling such as Database Conversion Workbench
• Enhance DCW to be fully compatible for migration activities
• Hands on support for Oracle to Db2 and Teradata to Db2 migration
IBM oneWEX Watson Explorer (Search and Text analytics)
• Customer support and pre enablement activities.
IBM BigSQL (SQL database on Hadoop) https://www.ibm.com/products/db2-big-sql
• Maintain BigSQL components integrate seamlessly with Apache Hadoop family including Hive, HBase, Ambari among others.
• Design and implement optimized (INSERT INTO..SELECT FROM..) operation for various file formats.
• Rewrite data access layer for scanning parquet formatted files making use of vectorized api's.
• Enhance various features in IBM BigInsights / BigSQL, the SQL solution for data access on Hadoop.
• Incorporate low level Parquet vectorized reading API's thereby boosting BigSQL query performance.
• Maintain Java I/O and Scheduler components and add enhancements.
IBM Data Server Manager (Database monitoring) https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/db2-data-mgr-console/3.1.x?topic=console-overview
• Technical lead for Alerting and Profiling components of IBM Data Server Manager (DSM), the next generation administering and monitoring tool for DB2 LUW. Enhanced the alerting feature by adding frequency count which highly improved the usefulness of alert reporting. Designed and implemented the profiling feature, which enabled users to associate various configurations to monitor the data servers.

IBM Optim Configuration Manager (Database configuration management)
• Feature owner for various components of IBM Optim Configuration Manager product across multiple releases. Designed and implemented a framework to compare configurations of DB2 server with others or itself with past versions. Enhanced this with the design of cloning the configuration using the comparison data.
IBM Configuration Manager (Database configuration management)
• Technical lead for various components of IBM InfoSphere Optim Configuration Manager product. Designed and implemented a framework to discover and track the details of a database objects in DB2/LUW and DB2/Z. Was given Outstanding Technical Achievement award for implementing this feature.
2001 — 2007
2001 — 2007
IBM SQL Warehousing Tool (Warehousing tool to design data warehouse processes)
• Technical lead for various components of IBM InfoSphere Warehouse product across multiple releases. Notable was the design and implementation of Job Manager framework for executing warehouse jobs on production server. Integrated the Quartz scheduler and built a flexible framework to execute any types of jobs.
IBM RedBrick Database (Analytics database)
• Work on enhancing various database internal components of RedBrick database product across multiple releases. Prototyped and demonstrated the next generation parallel loader.

IBM RedBrick Database (Analytics database)
• Design and implementation of feature enhancements to loader component of Red Brick Warehouse database. (http://www-03.ibm.com/software/products/en/redbrick). Achievement was the design and implementation of remote table management utility (Remote TMU). This feature which allowed DBAs to start LOAD DATA and other TMU operations from a client machine, using local control files & input files and load data on a remote server.
Informix XPS (OLAP database)
• Design and implementation of various features for multiple releases of Informix XPS database. (http://www-03.ibm.com/software/products/en/xps/). Highlight was the implementation of OnXfer data migration tool. This tool migrates data from Informix IDS to Informix XPS with minimal user intervention. This data movement utility combines the speed of the HPL and external tables functionality with the usability of the dbexport and dbimport utilities. (http://www.informix.com.ua/doc/9.40/ct1suna.pdf)
