- Created microservice responsible for delivery of 50 million emails per day. 
- Saved company over $250K per year in AWS and outbound bandwidth costs and decreased taskworker load by almost 50%.
- Ran canary deployments to measure performance for various strategies (compression, data store choice, etc) and optimize delivery time.

### Software Engineering Intern - Monetization @ Nextdoor

- Worked on the monetization team to launch Branded Listings for real estate agents, one of the company’s first major monetizing products.
- Built an API to identify all of an agent’s listings by querying a single listing MLS ID, and to dynamically calculate pricing plans for the agent based on market value in their city.
- Created a dashboard using React for agents to claim listings ingested through an ETL process and to manage their advertisement plans.

I had the opportunity to work on the TripIt team building core features for iOS. Some highlights:
- Completely restructured the architecture for sharing trips with others by shifting responsibilities from the server side to client side (reducing latency and allowing for offline sharing)
- Integrated multiple new outlets for sharing including via third party applications, as well as screenshot detection
- Spearheaded development on the initial version of a new iMessage extension for TripIt in preparation for the release of iOS 10
