I'm a Senior Product Designer in the Intuit Platform org. At the second half of 2018, my area of focus shifted from widgetized UI/UX application design to joining the Intuit Design System’s effort to accelerate the One Intuit Ecosystem. The goal is to build a design library that empowers each brand to express its unique identity, with fixed and flexible designs that unite us under a branded house. This massive undertaking involves harnessing the design and technical talents of contributors from Intuit’s main product teams spanning a range of skill sets including interaction design, experience design, visual design, art direction, content writing, engineering and project management.
My tasks include working with my team to:
Understand the breadth of use cases the Intuit Design System components must support
Review and become well acquainted with industry best practice principles
Maintain continuous dialogue with stakeholders throughout the process
Initiate research as needed to help inform and drive decision making
Ensure IDS components meet ADA standards for accessible design
Produce One Intuit Design solutions that encompass all platforms
Get approval from stakeholders and Design leaders
My contribution to this effort has led to:
Increased acceleration of our process (ideation to consumable components)
Design leadership approval of a number of key components
Successful component systemization
Growing adoption of One Intuit Design System components by product teams

Responsible for all XD requirements for Intuit Tax Online and TaxLink mobile applications. Role requires Visual and Interaction redesign of Tax Online product to follow current corporate and iOS7 guidelines, utilize user test data to inform design decisions and evolve Workflows. Design new companion TaxLink app and deliver Visual designs, interaction workflows, and detailed GUI specs. Work with Product Managers, researchers, content writers and developers to meet business goals.
