Key Achievements: • Reduced infrastructure costs by 99.97% ($600/month vs $2M/month) with custom secret storage vs HSM-based solutions, saving $24M annually • Onboarded 2+ million wallets on Polkadot's AssetHub (from 9k to 2M+ unique wallets) • Built 7 production/staging APIs across GCP and AWS (Terraform, APIs, databases, DevOps) High-Performance Cryptography: • Engineered Rust/Rayon data-parallel pipeline achieving 10,000+ wallets/minute with CPU-intensive XSalsa20Poly1305 encryption • Optimized parallel batch processing and memory management for massive concurrent workloads Security Architecture: • Shamir's Secret Sharing (5 parts, threshold 3) - secrets never stored in single location, distributed across multi-region isolated services • Multi-layer encryption (XSalsa20Poly1305, KMS keys, database encryption, VPC isolation) with double encryption at custodian level • Distributed secret reconstruction API for on-demand transaction signing Fault Tolerance: • Multi-region, multi-cloud (GCP + AWS) - operational even if 2 of 5 custodians fail • VPC-protected services, JWT auth, IP whitelisting, WAF, zero-downtime deployments Tech Stack: Rust (Rayon, XSalsa20Poly1305), NodeJS, TypeScript, Terraform, PostgreSQL, Docker, Cloud Run, ECS, Polkadot/Substrate, sr25519 ### Lead Software Engineer @ MODA DAO Jan 2022 – Jan 2024 MODA is a platform for minting, collecting, socializing, and earning rewards in the Web3 electronic music space. • Led a team to develop and deploy smart contracts, including tokens, NFTs, staking platforms, and abstract accounts (ERC-4337) in Solidity. • Built full-stack systems with React and TypeScript, Node APIs, and digital fingerprint collectibles for renowned artists such as deadmau5, Kaskade, Nero, and Noizu. • Successfully launched a staking contract in 2023 and released numerous NFTs. ### Senior Rust Developer | ink! @ Parity Technologies Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 ink! is the smart contract programming language for Polkadot. • Joined a fully remote team to build and maintain the ink! programming language in Rust. • Contributed to developer tutorials and documentation, enhancing the overall developer experience. • Created a low-level JavaScript client library, useink, which featured a simple API (similar to Wagmi and Viem) to streamline frontend development for ink! contracts and Polkadot blockchains. • Developed features including browser wallet connection management, error handling, JS-to-bytes data type mapping, data parity between new block changes on the blockchain, and contract on-chain deployment from the browser. • Implemented a light client feature using smoldot, enabling trustless browser connections to other nodes without relying on centralized third-party blockchain gateways. • Built numerous full-stack dApps using Rust and useink. ### CTO & Co-founder @ Solvana Jan 2020 – Jan 2023 | New York, New York, United States Solvana is an innovative all-digital platform revolutionizing the solar purchasing experience by eliminating salespeople. It offers comprehensive tools for solar experts to design and propose options, and allows customers to customize their systems with real-time incentive calculations and financing options. • Led a small team in building a robust tech stack with an event-driven architecture, guided by Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles, derived from intensive planning sessions (Event Storming) with stakeholders. • Developed and deployed NodeJS APIs, React front-ends, micro lambdas for asynchronous features, and used Terraform to manage Dockerized containers in AWS Fargate. • Collaborated closely with stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle. • Achieved $1 million in gross revenue within the first year of launch. ### Founder & CTO @ PIPS | Playing Cards for the Paraverse Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | The Paraverse PIPS is an innovative on-chain generative NFT project that has produced over 250,000 unique playing cards across thousands of multi-asset-owned NFTs (playing card decks). Each deck's DNA was fairly generated on-chain and rendered off-chain using a custom engine that compiles hand-drawn elements into a single image, resulting in NFTs with over 600 rarity traits per deck. • Solved the challenge of on-chain randomization without relying on oracles, avoiding the complexity and dependency on secondary tokens like Chainlink's LINK. This solution was very difficult to be gamed. The solution involved a delayed reveal mechanism. • Developed a sophisticated on-chain and off-chain integration to ensure seamless DNA generation and rendering. Our code underwent frequent audits by the TSA. • Played a key role in the successful infrastructure migration to AWS GovCloud, updating Helm charts for Kubernetes (K8s) and other necessary configurations. • Built an in-house full-stack platform with a Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system to manage data purge requests, create promo codes, and log administrative actions. Implemented this system without a database, utilizing Okta groups to assign roles via secure JWTs. • Collaborated within a small team to ensure robust and compliant data management practices. • Successfully migrated Clear’s oldest micro service to AWS lambda that supported 11 million calls per month for only $28 per month.
