Samuel Sherman is currently a Staff Product Designer on the Design Systems team, and previously a Senior Art Director on the Brand Design team at Etsy. 

Samuel was born in western Minnesota and has lived and worked in Minneapolis and New York City. In 2003 he received his BFA in Graphic Design from The Minneapolis College of Art and Design, MCAD. From 2004–2008, he worked as a graphic designer for various design and branding studios in Minneapolis, including Duffy and Partners. In 2008, Samuel was hired as a Senior Designer of the Department Advertising and Graphic Design at The Museum of Modern Art, MoMA and promoted to Design Manager in 2012. While at MoMA, Samuel designed unique graphic identities and information systems for over 40 exhibitions. In addition, he designed and art directed numerous advertising campaigns and largely contributed to the evolution of the museum's brand. Samuel has earned numerous design awards including merits from Type Directors Club, Print Magazine Design Awards, AIGA Certificates of Excellence and Communication Arts Graphic Design Annual.
