Outside of work I am an avid golfer with hopes of playing as many amazing golf courses worldwide! ## Work Experience ### Software Engineer @ IXL Learning Jan 2024 – Present | San Mateo, California, United States ### Senior Frontend Engineer @ Sibros Jan 2023 – Jan 2024 | San Jose, California, United States ### Software Engineer @ Sibros Jan 2020 – Jan 2023 ### Software Engineer @ TAYGO Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 | Burlingame, California, United States - Tools used: Typescript, Node.js, Apollo GraphQL, React, Redux, AWS services (DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, SQS, Lambda) - Developed front-end shared libraries containing dynamic & reusable components, giving access to multiple repositories. - Contributed to the automated digital branding platform by creating an in-house website builder, where end-users could apply global theme sets, add/remove component blocks, and publish to their domain. - Added automation to a review system involving branded email campaigns, through the use of AWS tools such as Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch; relieving the user of manually scheduling campaigns and maintaining customer data. - Led discussions and managed tasks for an overseas team of 8 engineers to execute technical requirements. ### Product Applications Engineer @ NEXTracker, Inc Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | Fremont, California - Managed NEXTracker’s product compatibility with industry leading module manufacturers by holding regularly scheduled roadmap meetings. - Identified and resolved internal product gaps caused by emerging PV module technology, that if not addressed would have resulted in a potential loss of 2 GWs of utility scale projects. - Facilitated product certification with module manufacturers and Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories for compliance to UL 2703 & UL 3703. - Immense collaboration and coordination with various departments including sales, product management, project engineering, R&D, and NPI to launch new products from inception. - Lead design of experiment, construction, and execution of bifacial module performance testing, proving higher bifacial module power output on NEXTracker’s product in comparison to traditional linked-row trackers. - Supported NEXTracker’s global sales and project management teams by responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs and RFPs. ### Engineering and Project Management @ REPOWER America Jan 2016 – Jan 2018 | Oakland, CA -Designed and reviewed residential PV system plans to ensure they complied with NEC code and internal standards. -Created an interactive and user-friendly tool to output project Bill of Materials quickly and accurately. This allowed multiple personnel and departments to build project BOM and replaced ineffective manual methods. -Standardized processes to optimize end-to-end processing for REPOWER's EPC network, connecting third-party originators with local installers. -Established interdepartmental processes involving supply chain, accounting, on-boarding and account management. Such processes included integration of new third-party financing and handling equipment reallocations/RMAs. -Managed over 15 partner portfolios and project pipelines ranging over 100 residential PV systems at a time. Ensured project installations were completed in a timely manner and in compliance with requirements set by financial partners. -Provided training and guidance in regards to sales, installation, and post-installation processing to improve customer satisfaction and reduce end-to-end cycle times. ### PV Designer II @ SolarCity Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 | Milpitas, CA - Engineered and designed residential rooftop PV systems throughout various states in the U.S. with the use of AutoCAD. Designs were compliant with National Electric Code, International Building Code, International Residential Code, and state/local Authorities Having Jurisdiction requirements - Performed various solar, structural, and electrical calculations. - Coordinated with sales, permitting, project management, and installation to assure clients’ satisfaction. - Participated in extracurricular projects pertaining to Standards and Quality within the Engineering and Design department. - Quantitatively explored ways to improve installation pull through with the use of a Kaizen Event. ### Jr. Solar Designer @ Complete Solar Jan 2014 – Jan 2015 | San Mateo, CA - Designed and helped coordinate installation of residential PV systems. - Facilitated the PV system interconnection process through permitting, Net Energy Metering approval, and completing state/local Authorities Having Jurisdiction requirements. - Created PV plans using CAD software, conducting on-grid electrical analysis, creating electrical single line diagrams, and optimizing PV panel orientation. ### Undergraduate Research Assistant @ UC Berkeley Combustion Lab Jan 2013 – Jan 2014 | Berkeley, CA - Created image processing algorithms on Schlieren videos to find the combustion time of various fuel beds using various sized metal particles. - Used a variety of image processing techniques such as Savitzky-Golay Filtering, Derivatives, and Moment of Inertia on image intensity values using Matlab in order to determine fuel bed contact and start of ignition. ### Mechanical Engineering Intern @ CellarPro Cooling Systems Jan 2013 – Jan 2013 | Cotati, CA - Created a thermal load calculator that determined the necessary CellarPro cooling unit. The calculator took into account transmissive, product, infiltration, and internal loads calculated using ASHRAE standards. - Redesigned tubing, drain traps, and condenser and evaporator fan wire harnesses for the cooling units to optimize manufacturing cost, reduce labor, and optimize space within the cooling unit. - Conducted tests involving ducting, fan speeds, drain lines, cooling rates, noise, and condensation. - Drafted manufacturing documents relating to the preparation, brazing, and assembly of the CellarPro 1800 series cooling units. Optimized the manufacturing process by interchanging steps in the assembly process. ### Research Assistant @ Naval Postgraduate School Jan 2011 – Jan 2011 | Monterey, CA - Created a curriculum for an intro course on microcontrollers and autonomous vehicles using Boe-Bots. - Created programs for object avoidance using physical switches and infrared sensors attached to the vehicle. - Conducted a research experiment involving autonomous parallel parking with the Boe-Bot.
