5 month immersive internship with Amazon Advertising, a quickly-growing team developing Interactivity to Fire TV Video ads. I was tasked with designing and implementing a new feature, Email Customization, allowing advertisers to have more input into the emails being send out to their clients.

Highly selective, software engineering program for women and gender expansive adults with a focus on serving communities underrepresented in tech. Six-month full-time classroom experience focused on web applications, APIs, and computer science fundamentals, followed by a 5-month internship paired with continued training. At the conclusion of the classroom portion of the program for a capstone project I developed a multiplayer game on a website, that will generate party code (similar to JackBox). Built using Node.js, Prisma (ORM), TypeScript, tRPC (typesafe APIs), React, Tailwind CSS + daisyUI, MySQL. Deployed on Vercel (Next.js frontend/backend), Planetscale (for db).

FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:

1. Fulfilling any request from patients, particularly for food or water after consulting with the Nurse in charge.

2. Observe infection control techniques strictly.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1. Provide comfort measures for patients in the ECC, such as getting patients blankets or sheets.

2. Provide assistance with meals or snacks after consulting with the Nurse prior to giving the patients food,

water, or juice.

3. Escort patients to the outpatient pharmacy to fill prescriptions.

4. Escort medically stable patients, or transport them by wheelchair/stretcher, upon request, to X-Ray,

Admissions, other clinics, or into the zones.

5. Transport lab specimens, or secure blood products from clinical laboratories.

6. Clean stretchers and set up stretchers for new patients according to prescribed guidelines.

7. Assist in treatment rooms with picking up of used papers, bandages, and other treatment supplies;

clean work surface according to prescribed guidelines, as requested.

8. Assist with linen by folding/placing it in designated area; put used linen in hampers and replace bags

on hampers as needed.

9. Assist with restocking of supplies in rooms as needed.

10. Assist the families of patients, escorting them to the waiting room and performing whatever services

are possible to make them more comfortable and relieve their anxieties.

11. Assist with the care of children accompanying patients to the ECC as needed.

12. Assist patients to taxis or personal automobiles, as appropriate.
