- Designed and implemented a flexible, scalable serving system for machine learning models, providing a common interface for traps, lab tools, mobile applications and web applications to request results from different multi-layered algorithms with support for multiple libraries
- Worked on firmware for a real-time IoT mosquito trap, capable of waking itself up for scheduled iterations using an RTC, communicating with a REST service via a GSM/GPRS module,  and upgrading its own software with cloud updates 
- Contributed to the full-stack development of a web dashboard to aggregate images and environmental data sent from mosquito traps
- Developed an android application to facilitate data gathering for a research study, which sent captured images to classification algorithms and organized data for analysis
- Built a serverless backend system in AWS to streamline database development and reduce human error
- Worked collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary research team

Designed a creation flow for the Live Paper Web Portal using EmberJS to allow multiple pieces of content to be embedded into the same image.
Extended the existing iPhone Link Reader App using Objective C so that users could scan these images and view multiple payload experiences

As a summer intern at Hewlett-Packard, worked on the Live Paper web portal which allows users to easily upload their picture and a video and create a "Live" version of their printed content. This is currently in production at http://www.linkcreationstudio.com 

Specifically worked on 
•   Optimizing the user experience by creating an Advanced Download feature
•   Incorporating rich-payoff functionality into both the existing iOS app and the Rails web portal 
•   Optimized the QR code and image watermark by testing a set of variables to create a balance between minimum perceptibility and maximum readability of watermarks
•   Worked on web portal with a Rails backend and Ember js frontend
