# Sara Kuenzi > Software Engineer - Hard-working, Hilarious, Hoopla-Worthy Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/sarakuenzi I’m a software engineer by day and an adventurer by every other hour. When I’m not coding or studying, you’ll find me scaling cliffs, wandering mountain trails, or booking my next travel adventure. My passion for problem-solving extends beyond the screen—I’m dedicated to sustainability and environmentalism and I'm always seeking ways to make a positive impact. I'm especially interested in the intersection of tech, sustainability, and human interest. I know there are countless way that we can use new technologies to help the natural world and the people who live here, and I'm excited to find them. Mental health and personal improvement are at the core of everything I do. I believe in the balance of pushing my abilities while staying aware of limitations, whether it’s sending a challenging route in rock climbing or finding new ways to grow personally and professionally. Currently I'm back in school to complete a Bachelors in Computer Science, training for a trail marathon, projecting some 5.12s in the gym, working through "The Upward Spiral" by Alex Korb, and fostering kittens. In between is a healthy amount of Netflix, podcasts, kitten cuddles, and naps. It's all about balance! Life is an ongoing project, and I’m here to code, climb, care, and create the best version of myself. ## Work Experience ### Software Engineer @ Indica Labs Jan 2022 – Jan 2024 - Completed 100+ bug and feature tickets to optimize app usability - Integrated multiple complex and often conflicting libraries to function seamlessly together - Participated in over 130 hrs of code review with senior engineers - Overhauled legacy Javascript files to safer Typescript - Collaborated closely with product management and quality assurance to understand and solve customer issues ### Student @ Promineo Tech Jan 2022 – Jan 2024 - Created 10 complete applications using JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, react-router, responsive design, and more - Achieved the highest marks in a cohort of 17 students - Mentored peers throughout the program and led weekly study sessions for all local students - Contributed 3 tutorials for fellow students: personalizing Github profile, writing a technical resume, and writing a cover letter ### Student @ Scrimba Jan 2020 – Jan 2022 - Mastered responsive design by building 9 projects with CSS Flex or Grid - Cultivated React and react-router skills through 5 scalable applications - Implemented async Javascript and fetching in 10 apps using REST APIs - Enhanced the basic course with weekly coding challenges and peer code review ### Member Service Representative @ Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 | Schertz, Texas, United States As a front-facing role in a credit union, this job included interacting with members, ensuring the secure management of their cash and accounts, finding products to streamline their financial goals, and introducing new members to the benefits of banking with RBFCU. ### Bank Teller @ Arvest Bank Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 | Fayetteville, Arkansas, United States Working as a full-time teller at a community-focused bank included building rapport and trust with customers by competently handling their cash and finances.
