Led another engineer to complete project. • As part of a 3-member team, migrated a legacy Python service to Golang. It maintained Uber for Business payment accounts for all employees and organizations, integral to processing trip payments. ### Software Engineer 1 @ Uber Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 | Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Backend Engineer in Uber for Business Platform Team • Designed new services to manage employee trips through secure APIs allowing external companies to access Uber services. • Mentored and on boarded a junior engineer by collaborating on tasks, reviewing code, participating in team building sessions and eventually completing abstract tasks. • Coordinated with external engineers to understand details of Concur's Receipt Upload API and stabilize existing flows • Awarded Above and Beyond: Velocity (the equivalent of Employee of the Quarter) for Q4, 2021. ### Software Engineer 1 @ Uber Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 | Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Data Engineer in Rider Data Platform Team • Remodeled Rider Events database handling 1.5B user mobile logs a day, using Apache Spark on Java. Reduced its daily partition creation time by a factor of 10 and addressed prior structural problems and inconsistencies. • Implemented pipelines and datasets capturing rider behavior at confirmation screen of the Uber app. It currently powers Uber's product recommendation models and rider experiment metrics. ### Summer Intern @ SAMSUNG R&D INSTITUTE INDIA - BANGALORE PRIVATE LIMITED Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Bangalore • Improved user experience with a Social Robot by adding emotion to its audio response. • Created a dataset with features such as emotion of query, sentiment of response and user preference.
