# Saul Reynolds-Haertle > Software Engineer Location: Oakland, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/saul Software engineer with publications in humanoid robotics. Not technically "full stack", but my experience covers robots to webapp back-ends, and I could probably take a stab at anything from FPGAs to web UIs. ## Work Experience ### Staff Software Engineer @ Saildrone Inc Jan 2022 – Jan 2024 | Alameda, California, United States ### Software Engineer @ Google Jan 2018 – Jan 2022 | San Francisco Bay Area ### Software Engineer @ Cybraics Jan 2017 – Jan 2018 | Greater Atlanta Area Part of a small team owning application development and business logic, building tools to manage presentation of algorithmic results to the SOC team for analysis and review and to customers for action. Ruby on Rails backend on PostgreSQL, frontend in modern javascript using vue and vuex. One of two people focused on the web-application back-end, using Agile methodology to maintain startup pace and responsiveness to changing business requirements as the application was released to customers and grew from 10 kloc to nearly 45 kloc. ### Software Developer @ athenahealth Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 I contributed to reporting and analytics infrastructure for athenahealth's revenue cycle management and medical billing platforms, building systems to reliably produce timely data that our clients use to gain insights into their billing and finance. I personally contributed infrastructural improvements that helped our system remain correct and performant as we scaled from proof-of-concept to the entirety of athenanet, millions of runs every morning. ### Graduate Research Assistant @ Georgia Institute of Technology Jan 2012 – Jan 2015 I worked on mobile robots, mostly focusing on mobile manipulation of large objects using tools improvised from objects in the environment. During that time I contributed a large amount of software and math to the development of Golem Krang, a high-power dexterous humanoid robot, and dartsim, a robotics-focused dynamic simulator. More recently I've moved into mobile and ubiquitous computing, using Google Glass for research into nontraditional text entry. ### Undergraduate Research Assistant @ Georgia Institute of Technology Jan 2011 – Jan 2012 Helped design, implement, document, and support software for robotics research at the Georgia Tech Humanoid Robotics Laboratory. Conducted original research in robotics, focusing on highly maneuverable mobile robots. ### Student President @ Exothermic Robotics Jan 2007 – Jan 2008 Helped found Exothermic Robotics as an official student organization at Redmond High School. Led team during participation in the FIRST Tech Challenge, winning the INNOVATE award for demonstrating ingenuity and innovation in our robot design. ## Education ### Master of Science - MS in Computer Science Georgia Institute of Technology Jan 2025 – Jan 2026 ### Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Georgia Institute of Technology Jan 2008 – Jan 2012 ### Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) (Incomplete) in Robotics Georgia Institute of Technology Jan 2012 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/saulrh --- Source: https://flows.cv/saul JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/saul/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-23
