# Saul Kessler > Design Leader | Building Teams. Shaping Systems. Driving Impact. Location: San Jose, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/saulkessler I’m a design leader building teams and shaping enterprise systems that drive measurable business impact. My experience spans zero-to-one product development through scaled platforms, shaping direction as products take form and guiding their evolution as they grow. I’ve worked across employee experience, enterprise intelligence, and AI-enabled systems used at global scale. Today, I lead the operationalization of enterprise intelligence — defining how AI capabilities, product signals, and human judgment come together in real workflows. This includes shaping agent-driven models, aligning cross-platform architecture, and building decision frameworks that move insight into action. I grow designers, align cross-functional leaders, and bring clarity to complex environments. The thread across my work is consistent: connect strategy to execution, simplify where possible, and build systems that create lasting value for both the business and the people who rely on them. ## Work Experience ### Sr. Product Design Manager @ Omnissa Jan 2024 – Present | Mountain View, CA I lead a design team shaping Omnissa’s AI-powered Digital Employee Experience (DEX) platform — translating enterprise telemetry and intelligence into operational systems that improve how IT organizations support their workforce. Our work transforms real-time signals into structured workflows: surfacing emerging issues, guiding investigation, and enabling resolution through a blend of automation and human judgment. In parallel, we design experiences across Intelligent Hub and related productivity and security applications that keep employees connected, supported, and secure in their daily work. Beyond product direction, I focus on strengthening the design organization — elevating system-level thinking, fostering experimentation, and aligning design more closely with platform and business strategy. This collective progress contributed to Omnissa’s recognition as a Visionary in Gartner’s 2025 DEX Magic Quadrant, reflecting both product maturity and cross-functional collaboration at scale. ### Staff Product Designer @ VMware Jan 2018 – Jan 2024 | Palo Alto, California I joined VMware as a Lead User Experience Designer, where I led the creation of Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub by consolidating fragmented apps into a single employee experience platform. Launched across iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and Web, it became one of VMware’s most widely adopted products, reaching over 5 million employees worldwide. As Hub matured, I advanced to Staff Product Designer II, expanding its capabilities with AI-driven recommendations, IT support, workflow automation, conversational bots, and advanced security — features that helped establish it as VMware’s flagship employee experience product. By 2022, I took on broader design leadership for the Digital Employee Experience (DEX) solution. I began with the AI-powered Experience Management solution — applying telemetry, analytics, and insights to drive proactive remediation — and expanded into productivity and security apps (mail, calendar, file management, browser, virtual apps, remote support). These components formed a holistic DEX ecosystem that unified employee experience and IT visibility. In this role, I was recognized as a design leader, guiding designers, setting product direction, and collaborating with PMs and engineers. This experience laid the foundation for my current role as a Senior Product Design Manager at Omnissa. ### Lead User Experience Designer @ VMware Jan 2017 – Jan 2018 | Palo Alto, California ### Lead User Experience Architect @ Scanadu Jan 2016 – Jan 2017 | Sunnyvale, California I led design for an FDA-regulated in-home urinalysis mobile app (iOS, Android), revamping the experience for usability and compliance during the submission process. My role combined deep attention to medical UX with the constraints of regulation and patient usability. Beyond the core product, I also supported go-to-market efforts — shaping branding, e-commerce, packaging, and marketing media — giving me a rare chance to bridge regulated product design with consumer-facing storytelling. ### UX Design Lead, Apple Partnership @ IBM Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 | Cupertino, CA As part of the Apple partnership, I participated in Enterprise Design Workshops in Cupertino, working with cross-industry teams to envision how iOS apps could transform enterprise workflows. I acted as a hands-on iOS design evangelist, supporting teams through the design process and contributing to workshop outcomes. In parallel, I created design system resources — including a widely adopted Sketch UI Kit — that standardized enterprise app components and accelerated delivery across teams. ### User Experience Architect & Strategist @ Good Powered by BlackBerry Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 | Sunnyvale, CA At Good Technology, I shaped the user experience across the company’s enterprise mobility suite — spanning productivity, security, and management applications. My work focused on turning complex technical challenges into intuitive experiences, enabling enterprise workflows that were secure, scalable, and easy to adopt. Along the way, I developed design patterns and frameworks that streamlined complexity into clarity, driving innovation across the company’s mobile ecosystem. ### Principal User Experience Designer @ Good Powered by BlackBerry Jan 2013 – Jan 2015 | Sunnyvale, CA ### Senior Product Designer @ Good Powered by BlackBerry Jan 2011 – Jan 2013 | Sunnyvale, CA ### Motion Graphics Intern @ MTV Networks Jan 2011 – Jan 2011 Assisted design team with illustrations, motion graphics and visual effects. ### Partner @ Benny and Shaw Jan 2007 – Jan 2011 Managed operations and designed an online shopping experience. The company appeared in publications including Life & Style, Essence, and DailyCandy. ### Interaction Designer @ Saul Kessler Jan 2002 – Jan 2011 Designed a wide variety of cross-media projects involving UX/UI design for applications and websites, branding, print, photography, motion graphics, video editing, animation and physical devices for individuals, startups and media companies (Westwood One, Maxim Digital, BMG). Highlights; prototyped an Android app that controlled a washing machine and a restaurant table management web app. ### Photographer @ Saul Kessler Jan 2006 – Jan 2009 Event Photographer - Maxim Digital • Maxim Spring Break '08 (Panama City Beach, FL) • Maxim/Stuff Bud Select Lingerie Model Search (10 City Tour) • Maxim Break "The Trojan 100" (Mexico) ### Photographer @ Maxim Magazine Jan 2006 – Jan 2008 ### Creative Consultant/In-house Designer @ Venture Capitalist (Private Individual) Jan 2003 – Jan 2006 Designed identity packages and developed marketing strategies. ### Senior Internet Producer @ DraftFCB Jan 1999 – Jan 2001 I was originally hired to create interactive presentations, but soon pioneered an in-house video editing studio and implemented a digital asset management system. I was promoted to lead a staff in developing a global intranet (to improve internal communications) and a global website to promote the company’s capabilities. ### Multimedia Supervisor/Specialist @ DraftFCB Jan 1996 – Jan 1999 ## Education ### MPS in Interactive Telecommunications New York University ### BFA Parsons School of Design - The New School ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/saulkessler - Portfolio: http://www.saulkessler.com --- Source: https://flows.cv/saulkessler JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/saulkessler/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-13
