Improved accessibility for deaf and blind users by adding in aria tags and semantic HTML ### Software Engineer @ Honeywell Jan 2023 – Jan 2023 Built and deployed DBT models for data transformation in Snowflake platform. ### Software Engineer @ Cisco Jan 2019 – Jan 2023 | San Jose, California, United States Developed dashboard to track the progress of hardware lifecycle using Angular framework. Created REST API’s for a data model Increased unit test code coverage from 0% to 95% using karma and django testing framework. ### Software Engineer @ c0d3.com Jan 2017 – Jan 2019 | San Francisco Bay Area ### Business Analyst Intern @ Cisco Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 | San Jose, California Worked on data visualization with tableau to visualize data from big data platforms. Understood the process of data analysis from obtaining data, cleaning, interpreting, and visualizing. Also learned about big data platforms and services such as Teradata, HANA, Hadoop, and graph databases. My project was one of ten intern projects selected to showcase to the CIO, VPs, and other managers of Cisco. Project had actionable metrics such as improving response to alerts and other bugs in the data warehouse. ### Undergraduate Research Assistant @ Dr. Deamer's lab at UCSC Jan 2013 – Jan 2014 | University of California- Santa Cruz Conducted research in Dr. Deamer's research on the origins of life. We worked with his model on the early environment of the planet. We were looking for evidence of polymers and self-assembling liposomes under the right conditions. I was responsible for overseeing the device as well as detecting the polymers with spectroscopy and ethanol precipitation. I later had my own experiments on which types of fatty acids were most likely to form a lipid bilayer in early earth conditions. ### Undergraduate Researcher @ Dr. Deamer's lab at UCSC Jan 2014 – Jan 2014 | Baskin school of Engineering- UCSC The summer of 2014 I competed in the International Genetically Engineered Machines competition. Our team aimed to engineer the H. Volcanii halophile in order to produce biofuels from renewable sources. We were able to complete the gene knockouts that summer and some butyric acid was detected. The predicted source for the fuel is switchgrass and other organic materials, while the type of fuel produced is butanol. Project won a bronze medal at the international competition held in Boston. ## Education ### Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Technology and Information Management University of California, Santa Cruz ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/saumya-singh-26917970 --- Source: https://flows.cv/saumyasingh JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/saumyasingh/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-31
