Developed pipelines to convert data from 10+ RSS/XML feeds into objects for MongoDB to be more easily displayed in a news feed. Converted legacy REST API routes using Restify to Fastify to improve response times by 20%. Ensured all routes had accurate HTTP response status codes. Updated a Lambda function to use AWS SDK V3 for interacting with S3 to improve compatibility with future versions of the SDK. Created a web app that enabled 50+ judges to identify and score 150+ teams, reducing total judging time by 50%. Implemented a team / projects view for judges to view which teams to judge and a scoring view, allowing judges to input scores and comments about each team. Set up weekly sprint meetings with other frontend engineers to efficiently assign tasks and continuously review and merge changes.
