Applied various Machine Learning techniques to predict the position e.g. random forest, K-means clustering, gaussian process to get the best results. Weather data to determine stormy regions and oceanographic data to determine wave heights and ocean currents, are used to draw the stormy regions. The locations of the weather and oceanographic data are matched with the the grids of the ships’ locations and timestamp to optimize the algorithm. Later ML algorithms were implemented in a distributed environment using Dask to study the behaviour of the ships in/around stormy region to predict the safe location away from the storm for the ships, which are presently heading toward them, making sure they are not deviated much from their expected path.
